17 divisions hurts. Spreads and depletes the talent and quality of fights an extra 50+% from much of the sports' history.

 

Garbage.

The golden era will always be the best era of boxing.

 

Of course it will be. There were fewer fights, fewer fighters, and minimal global competition. Made it much easier for people to believe the biggest fish in that small pool were way better than anyone ever, even though the scene was a fraction of what it was domestically just 30 years prior.

All hail the golden era!
