A lot of well-known (and not-so-well-known) boxers retired this year. A number of them will therefore come up for HoF consideration in the same year, so - in preparation for that - rate them in order of greatness (HoF criteria): Bradley Cotto Cleverley Floyd Guerrero Marquez Malignaggi Mosley Miura Toney Uchiyama Ward Wladimir Yamanaka P.S. I know some of the names will obviously get in first ballot, and others won't be close to getting in, but for fun, let's rank them anyway.

Nice thread. 2017 is the year of great fights and also the year of great retirements for some great fighters. 2022 HOF induction is gonna be tough. Some will have to wait the following year.
It's disappointing and actually disturbing that you're not the first to forget to mention Mosley as one of the several who have retired this year.
Added, thanks. I borrowed the list from another thread and just added Ward so yeah, you're right. Unbelievable how little attention his retirement got, I completely forgot.
Done. Wow, what a year for retirements, legit ATGs are going to miss out on HoF first ballot. Please add them to your list btw.
Floyd, Ward, Wlad in the top Marquez just misses that top echelon. Cotto is 2nd tier, but still such a great fighter. Sad to see all those guys retire, but still they gave us some fantastic fights.
