Ok redid the list, that's what I think anyways. Floyd/Marquez/Hopkins are all between 10-49, Marquez probably looking from the outside somewhat. I think Toney, Wladimir are somewhere between 50-80, Ward/Mosley between 80-100. Don't think Cotto/Bradley did enough to crack the top 100
So just looking at the list myself, we have the clear HoFs, in alphabetical order because I want to think about the order a bit first: Cotto Floyd Hopkins Marquez Mosley Toney Ward Wladimir Bradley is good enough to get in too, but no chance until at least 2025/6 and he might be in danger of missing out completely.
The fact that Bradley out of everyone can miss the HOF 1st ballot is insane lul. Any other year he's in.
Yeah there's 8 HoF+ quality fighters there, 5-6 of them are ATGs. The fact that 2-3 ATGs miss first ballot is absolutely crazy. With Manny and maybe RJJ likely retiring next year it'll be ages for all these ATGs to get in unless the HoF bends it's rules.
I think Bradley ultimately gets in based off his 140 work and the Marquez win, Pac controversies aside. What's kind of unfortunate is that we never saw a fight involving Cotto vs either Marquez or Bradley. Would've gone a ways towards sorting through that next level of weight-jumpers who found a home at welterweight. That Bradley won the one fight that happened between the three is huge for him.
Bradley is 100% a HOF, anyone who says otherwise is crazy. However, he ain't getting in past any of those men listed by Kiwi up there. No bloody way.
Hmm....Good point...unless Toney and Shane get docked for PED scandals, he's probably not beating them in, either. Tough crowd.
Agreed, I also think Bradley is HOF material. However it was quite controversial last time it was discussed on here, just saying. Hopefully he gets his chance in some future year without too many greats retiring, it'd honestly have to be 2026 or 2027 IMHO.
Oh and Zab too, I think he's fighting his last time next month. Don't think he's going further than that.
Is Cotto actually going to retire tho? I thought he's fighting in Dec, if he wins that fight (Let's say against Nelo or GGG if that happens), he's def going for one more haha.
