How good of a win was it? Was it Morrison's best win?

In my opinion Razor Ruddock was his best win by far. Foreman #2. Also Joe Hipp was a big win in terms of dramatic aspects.

Mediocre, he ran from an old man. A prime Foreman destroys Morrison in 2 or 3 rounds

Pretty good considering that, according to Sangria he stood in the pocket all night teeing off on Big George going toe to toe.... Oh wait....

This. It wasn't a strategy he could pull off against younger, more spry opponents. Not saying it wasn't a smart strategy. Just that it wasn't transferable to other opponents.

And frankly, he eeked out a decision. That fight was very close.

I think it showed how slow and vulnerable to movement Old George was at that point. Morrison employed the right strategy, and to his credit, stuck to that strategy. But, it was hardly an impressive or brave performance. Morrison was blown out by Bentt shortly after, and other than beating a shot Razor Ruddock, never had a significant win again against elite opposition.

It was decent. But frankly i think that win rose in stock value when George captured the title a year later. Had he retired right after Morrison it just would have been remembered as a close win over a faded old fighter in the last bout of his career.

For what Morrison was, I was quite impressed by it.

He fought a smart fight, and got the job done.

If he had gone toe to toe with Foreman, he would just have got knocked out.

x2. It was far from pretty, but also unbelievable to beat a upcoming lineal HW like this. Saying this, I think he didn“t look good beating Ruddock either, both were slow and hitable.

At the time I was very impressed. George could overwhelm anyone and Tommy had a style to beat him. Then he loses to Bentt I think it was and everything was taken away from the Foreman win.

It was a decent win. He did better than Michael Moorer and Shannon Briggs both fought Foreman after this point. Foreman was slowwwww and Morrison stuck to his game plan.

One thing for sure, Morrison for all his short comings had way more brain then Moorer............who stood right in front"brave" while turning Foremans head into a water melon until one shot shattered his certified glass, and glass chinned he was that is the reason he was picked....Morrison was picked for the same faults but actually stuck to a fight plan, show cased how snail slow Foreman was and pulled it off.....and Moorer lost to a even older, slower version.

I rate it next to Sam Peter--Toney II and Sam Peter--Maskaev. It's analogous to Toney--Peter II because Peter came out doing his best of impersonation of a boxer in order to get the win over the older, more skilled fighter.

By far Morrison's biggest win, though I personally wasn't particularly impressed by his performance. He mostly just stayed away. Jimmy Young, Ali, and Holy beat him significantly worse.

Morrison just wasn't a great fighter imo. Mercer exposed him early as mostly a Hollywood concoction, a Gerry Cooney for the 90s. His chin wasn't exactly good...he mostly just had a really good left hook, and even that wasn't as good as Ruddock's.

The fact that he beat George Foreman is, however, QUITE notable on paper, no doubt about it. Especially since, unlike Briggs, he actually earned the win. That said, George didn't seem hurt for a second in the fight.
