Rate Victor ortiz as a boxer/fighter out of 10 and is he irrelevant now?

You know, I truly feel bad for Ortiz and I think he needs counselling. The kid had both his parents quit on him and that sh*t is harsh. I think boxing helped the anger part but I also think it explains why he quits.

 

Ortiz on paper is a beast. Powerful, decent speed, good work rate and good boxing skills. Unfortunately his heart just isn't in it and his mindset is all wrong. He loses concentration easily and can't stay focused. At least that's what it looks like to me.
Is he relevant anymore? That Depends on the next 2 years. If i were him I would just stay busy. Fight as often as possible and hopefully bag a few KO's against lower opposition. That might give him the self belief to raise his game when fighting better fighters but imo, it's unlikely.

 

A level talent d level heart just goes to show if a fighter isn't there/ is broken mentally having the physical attributes don't matter

although i disagree about Ortiz ever being relevant ever again regardless of who trains him. Ortiz is still Ortiz. his time has come and gone now. in fact, i don't even think that Ortiz really wants to fight any more. in his heart he knows he doesn't.

if he continues, i think he'll only have a couple more before he hangs them up.

 

He is irrelevant now. Physically decent but one of the worst mentally in years, no IQ or heart and even in his prime wasnt ever very skilled as such, just quick and strong.
