The only knockout briggs has cleanly scored over a meaningful opponent was against lyakhovic. His win over mercer was strange and seemed more fatigue than anything. But briggs power is not anything amazing. Lewis who has twice been knocked out could took briggs best shot and laughed at him before knocking him down.
8 It hasn't been tested, since Vitali only fights fat boys, but he took some good shots from Lennox and Sanders, going down for a flash knockdown only once in the Sanders fight.
Apart from Sanders, where I think he was just doing a lousy job to get out of the way of punches, I don't think I've ever seen him hurt, so I'd say 9.
Agreed. Lewis was a puncher in his own right, but the likes of Briggs were bigger punchers than Lennox, probably Sanders too. Lewis was just a better fighter than either of those put together, which is why he was top of the tree for quite some time and they weren't.
Sanders maybe, flattening wlad is more impressive than flattening golota and ruddock. But briggs is not a big puncher and never has been. He's score one meaningful knockout his whole career. Bit like that lamar clark
I'd say 7.5......Because IF you are aware,he HAS been KTFO before(Kick boxing match against the uk's pele ried)...so yes he can be ko'd!......also in the sanders fight he was hanging on for dear life after being tagged,And against lewis, after the uppercut he did the same.........so i think 7.5 is fair....he has a good chin.,but someone like mcall has a better one.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USxJeHV1pd8#t=7m08s
8.5..for the simple reason..it has been tested and passed with flying colours..but it hasnt been tested to often..
