I will not rate his chin 10.He has good chin but Oliver Mccall,George Chuvallo,Tex Cobb,Jake LaMotta,Hagler had chin for 10 and Vitali just don't belong with them. http://bigpunchers.blogspot.com/
Briggs could never hit as hard as Lewis. Like lufcrazy said, only one stoppage of note during his whole career, and even that was nothing spectacular. All he's done since the early 90's is ko softies.
8.0 - 8.5 Vitali has proved to be able to absorb a single big shot, but he has barely taken any shots from any of the "bigger hitters" he's faced. Lewis was the only fighter who gave as well as he got from Vitali. -Sanders was only competitive for one round. -Peter landed nothing and is genuinely overrated as a puncher. Awful boxer with terrible punching technique. -Briggs was a pulp by the time he touched Vitali once in the 11th. He was DONE by that point as well as before the fight even started. -Williams?? Wtf did he do besides getting beaten almost to death. He was reduced to stumbling around the ring so badly that Vitali's punches were literally holding him up at times. -Arreola? Landed nothing but a handful of solid jabs. His power is also vastly overrated. A HW fighter could not ask for a better chin than VK's. He is genuinely a TOUGH fighter across the board, but we have to remember that he has barely even taken any big shots from the guys he's fought in his career. The game is "hit and not get hit", and Vitali does a tremendous job with this. He actually knows how to get his opponent to engage while still being able to negate their offense. He does so with almost NO HOLDING, which is remarkable. When, or if, Vitali does get hit cleanly, he knows he can take it and continue to pick his opponent apart. That is a defining quality of his so far.
10/10 If you've never been knocked down until 40, it means you have a HUGE chin. Better then McCall's.
Personally i think 9 to 9.5 is fair for what hes proven, its possibly a 10 but we never seen him take a sustained beating like a McCall or a Chuvalo (who i both put as a 10) Vitali is a bad bad man across the board.
McCall gets hit by the shot that Sanders landed on Vitali and he's on the ****ing canvas wondering where the hell he is
