Pretty challenging to name 30 best middleweights since millenium, but I did it anyway. Did I forgot someone? Gennady Golovkin Bernard Hopkins Sergio Martinez Kelly Pavlik Arthur Abraham Jermain Taylor Felix Sturm Howard Eastman Martin Murray Ronald Wright Keith Holmes Robert Allen Felix Trinidad William Joppy Peter Quillin Dmitry Pirog David Lemieux Daniel Geale Daniel Jacobs Andy Lee Edison Miranda Chavez Jr. Khoren Gevor Amin Asikainen Darren Barker Sebastian Sylvester Anthony Mundine Mariano Carrera Mathew Macklin Kofi Jantuah
1. Hopkins(clear number 1) 2. Kelly Pavlik 3. Jermain Taylor 4. Sergio Martinez 5. Felix Trinidad 6. Arthur Abraham 7. Tomato-can Bumluvkin 8. William Joppy 9. Felix Sturm 10. Howard Eastman rest don't really matter tbh
Until the tomato can crusher stops fighting bums, his name will continue to be Bumluvkin. The man just loves fighting bums, why is that?
I don´t understand how someone would put Hopkins clear #1. He has wins against Allen(0), Eastman (0), Joppy (0), Trinidad (1) and Holmes(0). And he lost to Taylor. (With in the brackets how many win over opponents from top 30.) I had to drop Eastman, Joppy, Holmes, Wright, Trinidad and Mundine down the list because their resume (2000-2016) is very thin. They haven´t won any name opponent really. Trinidad had Joppy but Joppy has win over Eastman, but Eastman and Holmes haven´t really won anyone. I will keep Golovkin #1 because I rate his win higher than Hopkins wins. GGG destroyed Macklin (KO3), Geale (KO3), Lemieux (TKO8) and Murray (TKO9). Martinez has win over Pavlik but he wasn´t dominating against Macklin, Barker, Chavez jr. or Murray. Murray on the other hand has 0 official wins but you can make strong argument he won two world champions (Martinez and Sturm). Gennady Golovkin (4) Bernard Hopkins (5) Sergio Martinez (4) Arthur Abraham (4) Jermain Taylor (3) Felix Sturm (4) Kelly Pavlik (2) Martin Murray (0) Peter Quillin (1) Dmitry Pirog (2) David Lemieux (0) Daniel Jacobs (1) Daniel Geale (3) Ronald Wright (1) Felix Trinidad (1) Andy Lee (0) William Joppy (1) Edison Miranda (0) Keith Holmes (0) Robert Allen (0) Chavez Jr.(1) Howard Eastman (0) Khoren Gevor (1) Amin Asikainen (1) Anthony Mundine (1) Darren Barker (1) Sebastian Sylvester (1) Mariano Carrera (0) Mathew Macklin (0) Kofi Jantuah (0)
Talking like a child and hating Golovkin would be enough but you even manage to top that and put Eastman (zero wins against quality opponents), Joppy (Beat Eastman, nothing else) and Trinidad (Beat Joppy, nothing else) on your top 10 list What next?!
Of course, the MW division hasn't exactly been stellar the past couple of years. Most of the super fights have been mostly WW/JMW's moving up to try and seek greatness. Spinks-Taylor Trinidad-Hopkins DLH-Hopkins, Wright-Taylor, Pavlik-Martinez, Martinez-Williams, etc.
No debate at all about the top 2 Didnt Sergio and Winky fight at 154 more than 160? If not then Sergios good for 3 and Winky deserves to be higher What about P. Williams?
