Rather Fight Andre Ward or Joe Calzaghe?

Calzaghe. You would want to fight the best and the best, most accomplished SMW ever is Calzaghe.

 

I agree. Ward is the best SMW of all time. Calzaghe would be a proper tune up though.

 

Probably ward. He may slap but after being hit by 500 or so it starts too hurt.

 

Ward will either be out of range or inside, not giving me a chance to punch. Schooling.

Calzaghe would be in my face, throwing non stop flurries/slaps I wont be able to open up.

I think Calzaghe would destroy me but Ward would just school me.


I would fight Calzaghe anyway, me and him wont get along.

 

Slappy Joe all day. Ward hits with his knuckles and can fight well on the inside. With Joe, unless there is one of his many ref stoppages, I'm pretty much guaranteed 12 rounds of high workrate, but little pop.

 

Definitely Slappy. No power and not as skilled as Ward.

 

If you want to fight the best, it's Calzaghe.

Also, how would you deal with Ward's disgraceful headbutting?

Calzaghe would be more honourable fight, at least Calzaghe would fight.......Ward one safety first no risk taking boxer, good fighter, but Prime Calzaghe at least used to brawl once in a while.

 

is this a joke thread? I wouldnt get in the ring with either of these fine athletes.

If you put a gun to my head for say a six rounder, though, I'd go Calzaghe because you could absorb his crappy powder puff punches and dodge the rest because of his poor accuracy, whereas you couldtn do that with Ward.

Thas presuming you train me up to the level of a journeyman first.

I'd rather fight Calzaghe, he isnt as well schooled doesnt use a jab....is easier to hit clean not as rough...the speed and activity would be hard to deal with but the pitty pat punches would be easier to counter or punch with

 

Id fight ward, I think he will be considered above joe when its all said and done, even despite joes achievements, I just dont see him being remembered as much as he deserves to be, Id also say that joes style would be easier for a guy like to me fight. Ward would be tougher for me imo. Not to mention, the ward fight could argueble be better money wise too.
