Prime Mike over pretty much anyone in my lifetime. Certainly Muhammad Ali would be in that conversation but Tyson fights crackled with anticipation. They had entertainment value and had everyone talking both before the fight and for weeks following the bout. It was great stuff.
Prime Iron Mike. It'd be interesting to see how he actually does in the current heavyweight division, considering he's a 'small' heavyweight....would all the super size modern day heavys really, really be simply to much for his ilk to handle...as is strongly believed by many fans. IE: Bigger is better, modern day training methods etc, etc. blah, blah, blah. ^ That trumpet gets blown like you wouldn't believe... Or.......Would he be like a cat among the (big) pigeons?.......
Prime Tyson, no question about it He was a KO artist & his style is probably the most exciting in Boxing history. There is a reason he remains the most popular Boxer 40 years after his prime & if he was fighting today he would make Floyd's PPV records look bush league & would be the highest paid athlete on the planet by far
I'd be happy with either to be honest. One thing is perfectly clear to me, BOTH would clear out their respective weight classes. No doubts about that.
Prime Hearns could potentially face opponents from 147-175. From Crawford to Bivol/Beterbiev. Just food for thought.
Hearns had folks talking too. I would bring back a prime Hearns. 147 is 147. Nobody is going to out weigh the other by 30-50 pounds.
At first thought I went with Tyson, but there's really only a few guys worth fighting. Hearns on the other hand would have several marquee fights over multiple weight classes so I'm going with him.
One of my Personal favorites is Thomas Hearns. I think he was so damn close being the greatest fighter ever. I'm not sure he makes to 10 all time, but I LOVE Hearns.
