Steward said if he didn't bow-and-arrow his right hand so much and shot a straight right, with his speed, he would have a lot more KOs.

First, Ouma is a tough *******, and no one should criticize a fighter for not stopping him. The only time Kassim was ever stopped was once when the 3 knockdown rule was in effect.

Second, Spinks is a slippery little ******* who ain't exaclty east to hit flush.

JT put Pavlik down and hurt him bad. BHop, who was 180+ on fight night, beat on Kelly for 12 rounds and barely made a dent. KP ate right hands from Miranda like a little kid eatin' Skittles. Zuniga caught Pavlik with the same left hook that ended Oganov, and Kelly was up at a 2 count. In other words, KP can take a ****in' punch, and JT is the only guy who ever really hurt him.

Taylor is a helluva puncher, but he has **** for finishing skills. Watch round 3 of Froch/Taylor. Before the knock down Taylor had Froch reeling around the ring like a 3 legged giraffe drunk on Night Train wine! give Pavlik or Kessler those same circumstances, and Froch is dead meat. Especially Kelly. He never would have let Froch out of that round. Taylor just seems to lack that level headed killer instinct.

Yeah Taylor lacks the killer instinct when he has a guy hurt. He also has a poor ring IQ and has **** stamina. The AA-Taylor match up is a real interesting one. I actually think Taylor will have the better power in this fight and wouldn't be surprised if he won.

Underrated. Also hurt Lacy and made Hopkins think twice.

I noticed that in spite of all Abraham's whining about making 160, he looks like a damn midget standing with legit super middleweights. I think Jermain is the bigger man over all.

Jermain also has ungodly long arms. I don't have the numbers in front of me at the moment, but JT has longer arms than Pavlik, Miranda, and even Paul Williams. Reach, speed, and a good jab are things AA has trouble with. Jermain has all three.

Where power is concerned I'm anxious to see how Abraham responds when JT cracks him with one of those lead rights. The only puncher Abraham ever faced was Miranda. Nealry all AA's other opponents over the last few years had KO ratios under 50%, and that against poor opposition. Taylor will hit Abraham a lot more often than Miranda, and a helluva a lot harder than anyone else did. I've always said AA's "iron chin" is over rated. This fight will tell us if I was right or wrong.

All in all, I still think the most likely outcome is a late TKO for AA, but Jermain is my guy, so, WAR JT!!!

I definitely thinks he has good power. But it seems lately he has a very limited variety of punches in his arsenal. When he has someone hurt he just can't finish. He got very sloppy against Pav right after the kd. Then against Froch he just didn't turn it up.

Above average power at 160. At 168, probably average.

JT doesn't have thudding power that's for sure. He creates his power with his hand speed and blazing combinations. His opponents don't see them coming. JT's combination punching is one of the fastest in the sport, bar none. I dare anyone to prove me otherwise. When he throws combinations, they are lightning fast.

I think JT is a good finisher but it's just that once he has his opponents hurt, his opponents know where the shots are coming from and can brace themselves better and JT simply doesn't have the power to take guys out, at least not the "elite" fighters at SMW and MW.

He does have some very fast combos when he throws them. But it seems like he has been quite content to try and win off mainly his jab.

JT's power is definitely pretty good. I would say that the three Europeans in the tournament have better power though.

Excellent points. The bold part is a perfect description of the 4th, 5th, and 6th rounds of Pavlik/Taylor I.
