I think 6 or 7 for his durability is about right I think 8 is a bit too high he showed some toughness in fights but not enough to rate him 8 for me. I've always thought Lewis's footwork wasn't the best am I being harsh with 6 ? It's just i remember Lewis's footwork not being his strongest attribute. If you do anymore I'll compare my list to yours we've been mostly similar in alot of our answers.
Wladimir Klitschko: Power - 10 Physical attributes - 10 Handspeed, combination punching, accuracy - 8 (great hand speed and accuracy, combination punching not so good - that's why it's 8) Footwork - 9 (I think Wlad had amazing footwork for such a big guy) Defense - 8 Durability - 5,5 Heart - 9 Killer instinct - 8 Endurance - 7 Ring generalship - 10 Overall - 84,5
1988 Mike Tyson (Tubbs, Holmes, Spinks fights) 1.Power: 9.5 It would be 9 because the last name is not Foreman or Shavers, so it is not "superior", but in 1988, the only time Holmes and Spinks were knocked out 2. Physical attributes: 8 In 1988 there is only one word - explosiveness 3. Handspeed, combination punching and accuracy: 10 1988 - 10 4. Footwork : 9 5. Defense: 9 Although Majku 1988 didn't need defense that much. Incredible head movement until 1988. 6. Durability: 9 Douglas needed a few very hard punches, as did Holyfield when it was no longer there in 1988. 7. Heart : 8 1988 - 8 8. Killer instinct : 10 9. Endurance: 7.5 1988 - 8, but if he was fighting peak Holmes in 1988, hmmm 10. Ring generalship: 8.5 So young, and so short (also small reach) and to be remembered as - speedkills (a more brutal version of Rocky Marciano). Overall: 88,5
Holmes 1. Power : 7 Had a good uppercut we saw vs Weaver and a solid right cross. But he never had a great left hook. He had a lot of stoppage wins but rarely vs a highly durable opponent. Respectable power. 2. Physical attributes : 9 3. Hand speed, combination punching and accuracy : 8 He had good hand speed. Not as quick as Ali or Louis but very good. He was also highly accurate. However, his combinations were very standard and predictable. Not a great combination puncher 4. Footwork : 8.5 He had quick feet. However, even in his prime, he had periods where he would fight flat footed and run into big shots. 5. Defense : 8 Like i stated above, even when in his prime, he could run into big shots due to being flat footed at times. Still, a good defensive fighter who knew how to parry, use his feet to get out of range etc. 6. Durability : 9.5 Excellent chin. Only knocked down twice. No shame in being stopped by Tyson after such a long layoff. 7. Heart : 10 8. Killer instinct : 8 9. Endurance : 9 10. Ring generalship: 10 Knew how to make the best Overall score: 87 out of 100.
Holyfield 1. Power : 8 Underrated left hook. Knocked down iron jawed Mercer with it. Good right cross too. 2. Physical attributes : 8 3. Hand speed, combination punching and accuracy : 8.5 Pretty good hand speed, high on accuracy too and knew how to put together excellent combinations. I still think he is a notch below peak Louis and Tyson when it comes to combination punching but still.... 4. Footwork : 8 Not as fleet footed as peak Holmes let alone Ali. But he had good foot work. 5. Defense : 7.5 He had good defense but was far too willing to brawl and hence ran into a lot of unnecessary big shots at times 6. Durability : 9.5 Excellent chin. Only stopped once vs Bowe. 7. Heart : 10 8. Killer instinct : 9 9. Endurance : 8.5 10. Ring generalship: 9 A little too willing to brawl at times but he dealt with a wide range of styles to hard to rate him lower than a 9. Overall score: 86 out of 100.
Evander Holyfield Power - 7 Whilst he had underrated power I don't think he's quite an 8 because he simply didn't stop many Heavyweights. Physical Attributes - 8 When he bulked up he was a good sized Heavyweight with a Greek god like physique. Handspeed, Combination punching, Accuracy - 8 Holyfield put punches together very well and had good handspeed. I would say his handspeed is of a similar level to Usyk I gave him an 8 so I'll go 8 for Holyfield aswell. Footwork - 8 Had good balance I feel like counter punches have to have very good balance. Could also move around the ring very well when he had to aka Bowe 2, Foreman. Defence - 6 Simply got hit way too much and got involved in too many brawls defence was not his strong point. Durability - 10 For the amount of wars he was in against bigger guys aswell his chin was tried and tested better than anyone. Heart - 10 The man was a warrior end of. Killer instinct - 9 When you hurt Holyfield he give it back and then some one of the best fighters at coming back when hurt he did have a real mean streak. Endurance - 9 Holyfield was one of the most well conditioned Heavyweights and often went the distance without being tired. Ring generalship - 7 He has had some good performances where he stuck to a gameplan Foreman, Tyson 1, Bowe 2. But he did get involved in brawls alot when he didn't have to so I'm going to rate him a bit lower based on that. Overall score = 82
