Round 1

Matthysse comes out jabbing hard. Nava circles out and keeps her guard up. Matthysse drumrolls the body. Nava finally gets her jab rolled out, throwing it in a straight line as she circles. Matthysse jabs after her and throws a hard right cross. Left hook to the belly by Matthysse. Nava deflects shots on her upturned left forearm and throws short right hand counters. Matthysse circles to her right and pops the long left jab in Nava's face. Lunging right to the stomach by Matthysse. Nava slaps up high with hooks and then gets a 1-2 going to back Matthysse away. Wild overhand right by Matthysse. Another right connects! Nava is trying to slip punches by twisting side to side and flurrying back, landing an overhand right and left hook combo to the face.

10-9 Nava

 

Round 2

Matthysse pumps her fists out straight as she comes in but can't hit Nava flush as the Mexican moves her head to either side and keeps her chin tucked while countering back with quick hooks to the ribs and face. Matthysse retreats behind her left jab. Nava misses a right hand lead but gains some ground. Matthysse throws a long hook to the body and then misses a haymaker. Nava is putting her arms up to block shots and then diving in low to spring up in front of Matthysse and flurry in her face. Matthysse spins Nava to the ropes and works the body!

20-18 Nava

 

Round 3

Matthysse tosses out jabs and hooks as she circles to her left on the outside. Nava puts her head down and hands up, coming forward through the fire to try and touch Matthysse on the midriff with left hooks. Big right hand by Nava pushes Matthysse back to the ropes. Matthysse lands a short overhand right but is backed up by a flurry. Shoeshine to the body by Matthysse, but Nava drives her head into Matthysse's stomach to drive her back across the ring. Hard right by Nava! They trade shots!

Good for a girl fight.

30-27 Nava

 

Round 4

Matthysse pops her jab and circles left, again giving Nava a wide berth and making herself have to reach with the jab despite attempting to bunch it up. HARD overhand right by Nava as they come together in a phonebooth exchange! Matthysse blinked it off and kept punching with her, but that was a hellish shot. Nava eats a few jabs while trying to slip with head movement. Matthysse turns over a left hook off her jab that turns Nava's head! Nava comes back and pushes Matthysse across the ring with left hooks, overhand rights, and uppercuts! Body shots by Nava! Long combos by Nava. Matthysse slugs away with haymakers.

40-36 Nava

 

Round 5

Several jabs pressing forward by Matthysse to try and get an early jump on Nava, then back to circling on the outside. Nava hops in place and then comes forward with long clusters of straight fast punches down the middle. Big hook thrown by Matthysse, but slow and easily evaded by a simple lean back from Nava. Matthysse takes hurried steps off to the right, trying to attack Nava from the sides and catch her unawares. Nava spins and pops another cluster at her. Matthysse is troubled by the volume, speed, and defense of Nava and can't find a home for her power punches.

50-45 Nava

 

Round 6

Jab by Nava, right through the gloves. Matthysse slaps in with hooks from either side, catching arm. Nava's braids fly up in the air as she ducks inside and puts together shots before backing out and leaving a trail of hooks and rights. Uppercut on the outside by Nava, and a left hook to the body. Matthysse is coming forward with her guard up and waiting her turn to unload slower power flurries on Nava. BIG QUADRUPLE HOOK by Nava, rising from belly to head. Matthysse has a hell of a chin. More flurrying by Nava as she leaps forward, tapping the body and then sending a triple hook up the elevator.

60-54 Nava

 

Round 7

Nava advances with her jab, bossing Matthysse around the ring. Nava ducks right under Matthysse's slow counters and has her arms up across her face to block whatever comes close to catching her. Nava is pushing forward, landing straight jabs and right hands over the top. Left hook to the body by Nava. Matthysse tries for a long uppercut from the outside, but just leaves herself open to counters. Matthysse is backed into a corner but wisely blasts her way out with a big right hand, telegraphed and missing but accomplishing the goal of letting her slip out the side door and not get cornered. Nava keeps ducking and slipping shots right in front of Matthysse and slapping her around.

70-63 Nava

 

Round 8

Matthysse presses in with some hard clubbing right hands over the top and pushes Nava to the ropes. Clinch. Matthysse keeps clapping her hands all over Nava's back and arms. Right hand by Matthysse on the ducking head of Nava. Hard right by Nava, turning the tide back! Matthysse keeps pumping her way in but is caught flush by a 1-2 and backed up to the ropes! Big shots being landed by both gals this round. Big right hand by Nava. Matthysse circles to her left and misses some jabs and rights from the outside. Jabs to the body by Nava, and Matthysse reaches out with a long uppercut to the body. Another uppercut. A borderline low blow by Matthysse! Uppercut to the vagina! Nava flurries hard!

80-72 Nava, but if you were looking for a pity round for Matthysse that might have been it.

 

Round 9

Both throw hard stuff standing right in front of each other, with Matthysse favoring uppercuts to the body and Nava peppering her in the face with straight shots and short hooks. Matthysse circles to her left and tries to jab. Nava nails her with two lead rights. Matthysse throws a slow and telegraphed 1-2, and gets ducked. Lead right by Nava, forces a tired Matthysse to grab her and hold on. Nava circles to her right and plants a long 1-2 on Matthysse. HARD left hook to the jaw leaning inside by Nava, and then another to the body. BIG right hand to the face by Nava. Another.

Matthysse took a beating there. Almost 10-8

Round 10

Nava jabs and floats in and out of range, up on her toes. Matthysse swings out at her, flat-footed. Nava leans in and grabs as Matthysse tries to decapitate her with a heavy but slow hook. Nava is ducking shots and popping up with lead rights that land flush. Matthysse waves a hook out in the air while pressing forward. Matthysse wants to try and go for the KO but Nava is too slippery. Nava dances all around her on the outside and taunts her with a pecking jab. Matthysse tries to cut the ring off but her feet aren't quick enough. Nava strays too close and takes some thumps to the body, as Matthysse just keeps throwing nonstop uppercuts. Nava dances around, hopping to either side of Matthysse and flurrying at her with flashes of hand speed.

100-90 Nava
