Ray Arcel on Hagler - Hearns.

I have to say this. I always was above all this and kept things not personal more than most And even doing this, I was brought into it.

I will make paragraphs so you don't get a headache if that is the issue. I don't know why I was banned back in 2013. Even though people get tired of hearing my opinions on Duran and others, no one thought I was a troll even you. because you guys know I know my stuff. And you know that I do.. It was related to eastside deleting posts in the lounge and other areas, which then made the post count lower. I questioned it rather insignificantly, as did other people, and some of them were booted as I was booted,but I still wondered why the booting on such an insignificant thing. I had 34,000 posts I think. I don't know if it was personal or not.

And everything I said about Duran and Hearns is all factual. And it does not change that I do not think Duran was top 10 ATG because of his lack of wins against other greats. I would say Duran is top 30 ATG, but not top 10.. I must have said this hundreds of times on here. As a matter of fact, in my mind Hearns has better overall wins. But terrible losses, which hurt him. Hearns was his greatest enemy. Those big losses his two biggest fights are his two biggest losses, and it overshadows his great wins. Dominant wins. Benitez title. 154. Cuevas title 147 Hill title 175.. 5 titles 5 weights. The only man to win the welt. title 1980 and then win the light heavyweight title 175 in 1991( and 1987 Andries).
These are all facts and I stuck to the boxing issues. and people get personal with me and talk about who I am personally to deter from my boxing points because in reality I never talked about anyone's character and didn't care, and I am somehow the one at fault. Iactually had people tell me, why don't you call names back to them when they insult you. I said, because this is a boxing message board, it is not about personal attacks. People would say. mag is a guy who takes the high road. And still look where that gets me. And insulting someone personally to deter from a boxing topic is not right. To be honest, that is ridiculous, but if you guys see that as good that is fine. I would expect people to tell Clinton he was wrong since he is the one who mentioned something unrelated to the topic and he started this issue. Yet I will keep posting on boxing. If people are so much on what is right and wrong and honest, they would call him on it. Like surfinghb did. he was being honest.. yet the argument was, well Clinton has been a long time poster and he must be right. Well no, if he is doing something wrong he should be called on it since he is disrupting the board with unrelated issues and not sticking to topic.

As far as my posts and madness, anytime I bring up boxing facts which you think are "madness" look up my facts and see if they are accurate. If you don't want to read this you don't have to respond. If it gives you a headache I don't know what to say.

I come with facts. Even dates. I am big on dates and facts and you won't find mistakes.. And the thing is, I have never been personal on here and never was. Other people have tried to become personal on here and call me names like Duranimal or others I forget the names and bring up other facts to I think deter from the discussion because of frustration. And I usually ignored it.

And not saying I was Mag is something I don't regret and this high an mighty I never lied thing is amusing, but I don't buy it. I was honest about some fun I had interviewing people and even that is turned into you lied like you are not going to be ordained now. I don't have a police record and people who know me know I am an honest person. On a boxing message board? I don't follow a standard and I don't think you guys logically do either if you are going to honest.. I am here to post and discuss and have fun . And saying I interviewed fighters when I was in my 20s and I was not honest. That is sort of like me saying when I was 25 I got drunk and I peed on my neighbors wall ( which I didn't because you guys would mention that for another 2 weeks). and you guys saying "oh look he was not honest there either. He peed on someone else's wall when he was drunk" You cannot win yet like I said, I didn't start this personal stuff or discussion. Clinton did. .. This is why I don't like getting personal on here. I like talking boxing, and I always took the high road. More than most.. I never got personal or even called people dumb. So it is ironic.

 

And the definition of a troll. which I did not know since people would call me that before, and I later found out is someone who tries to incite response or negative response by making outrageous claims. But a troll usually would not come with facts and people somehow thought it was outrageous me saying Duran was not top 10 ATG but top 30. But I believe that. I never tried to incite negative feeling, I honestly believe what I do. I am too old to try and get response. That is not my thing. Duranimal used to mention things after I said Duran was a bully, and he had a bigger image because of being a bully, which enhanced his reputation as a warrior, yet the lack of great wins were ignored because of this I guess charisma.

 

If someone lies, especially about something so unimportant that he didnt have to, then his credibility is in question, period. If bringing that up bothers you, so be it.

 

Duran is an excusemaker. I have always written that. Always. But so are you. Period. And you lied about your identity when you didn't have to. It was completely unnecessary on your part. But you did. So if you lie, your credibility is called into question. Period. If you have a problem with that, well, quite frankly, you should not have lied in the first place, especially about something that is unimportant.

I honestly think you are stuck on this in relation to Duran and my points on it. People don't like when someone says things they don't agree with. But saying this is about credibility and honesty I don't buy that. I will not change my thoughts on Duran. Most people think he is top 10.. I don't.. He lacks the wins over ATG fighters, and Ray was not the top guy he later was when he beat him. If he is top ten ATG then he is.. Nothing I say can change it. As far as if I was MAG or not. I was in a discussion and someone asked me about it who I forget whom I was talking to. I have so many people arguing with me on topics I don't remember names except Duranimal. who made quite the impression. When someone asked about if I was Mag I remember that, I knew they knew but it was not pertinent to the discussion and I didn't want to bring it up because people like to get personal on boxing message boards when they are winning discussions and they were looking for that to get leverage like I think you were, even though I knew people knew I was mag. I think it was obvious. And I would do it again. I owe no one explanation who I was on a boxing message board. That is deluded thinking. It is not real life or pertinent.

My opinion is that you were looking for some credibility issue before you knew I was mag or that I didn't admit to it, and you were stuck on this excuse maker thing until you found that mag thing I think you wanted to deter from the discussion and undermine my points on Duran by changing the subject. The excusemaker thing was not working and so you asked, what year were you born. You were looking for something and you found what you thought would work. I don't think that is honest to do things like that, yet your whole theme now is honesty and lying. Well then you should be honest it is right there in your writings. If you are going to stick to the honest theme, then you should be honest about that. You mentioned excuse making before the mag thing, so that says it all.. It puts your credibility in question in light of you talking about credibility. It is interesting. I also think your confidence in Roberto Duran is in question since you had to go outside of the discussion and mention personal issues to get leverage. And this is what is rather disappointing. You would rather talk about this issue of names on boxing message board an talk about me personally than to discuss boxing.

 

oh god. you guys bring up the personal issues and harp on it, and when I answer in detail like I do on any subject you say Jesus Christ. This is why I don't get personal and why I stick to boxing. You guys should also. You created the discussion by going into the personal stuff and then you respond Jesus Christ when I respond. Funny stuff.

 

Why do you post on message boards if you get infuriated by this sort of talk. This is what it is about on these boards. Opinions and discussion. People say the same things over and over on the same subject.

 

The problem with thinking someone is an idiot is that in most cases when you think someone is an idiot they usually reciprocate the feeling. That is why these message boards on any subject should not be personal. People should stick to the topic. Name calling strangers is wasted energy.
