China: Heavyweights scale in! By Boxing Bob Newman The heavyweight co-feature attractions weighed in at the Jin Jiang Hotel in Chengdu, China today, two days ahead of Friday's historic "We Are Together" fight card at the Sichuan Gymnasium. Don King presided along with representatives of the Chinese promotional group C.S.I., and WBC president José Sulaimán. Weights were as follows: This content is protected Mike Mollo 227 vs. Jameel McCline 272 This content is protected Ray Austin 228 vs. Andrew Golota 242 McCline and Mollo nearly came to blows during their face off. Mollo was muttering to McCline repeatedly, "It's not gonna happen!" A fed up McCLine then shoved Mollo hard under the chin, snapping Mollo's head back and sending their handlers into action to ward off any further fracas. McCline then yelled to Mollo, "What's not gonna happen?"We'll see what happens Friday night! The rest of the card will weigh in on Thursday. Wednesday, November 5 2008 ________________________________________________________ The guy has never weighed anything less then 230 and the last time he was at 230 was over 4 years ago. So at 38 years old Austin weighs in at a career low and 19 pounds less then he was in his last 2 fights.:think Sounds fishy to me. Or it's just a misprint.atsch
well he was the same weight as wlad when they fought, but you could see that he was a bit soft. if the weight is correct it will be good for him, he will have a speed advantage over golota. i just hope that the golota express doesn't get derailed a bit prematurely, i want to see him go out in style against vitali or valuev.
I have the feeling, that a lot of boxers fight both Klitschkos on bigger weight, because they know they´ll lose. Therefore they do not the best preperation.
you can tell by the picture,Austin does look thinner from the face. He's about 20lbs lighter than when he faced Wladimir
I hope Mollo gets thoroughly embarrassed by McCline. I also think Austin will be a tough fight for Golota.
How the hell do Mollo and McCline coming off losses get title eliminators? At least Golota and Austin are coming off wins....Anyway GO GOLOTA!
