I certainly don't know that Austin would beat Barrett, actually. Also Haye took on Valuev, defended against Ruiz and his next planned fight is Wladimir Klitschko not a 40-year-old Ray Austin. Making your statement seem really strange. Pulev's competition given his low number of pro fights is very good, but, no use comparing him to Haye, I don't think, yet.

Too bad Pulev is that old, he'll be a champ in some years though. Having a strong promoter and boxing skills of his must end in a title fight.

Who of the current heavies had that strong start in last 30 years? None I suppose.

Povetkin arguably, but we've seen how he's turned out.

I see Pulev scoring an upset against Haye, Adamek, Arreola, Solis, Povetkin and Wladimir. He has the size and skills to beat them on points and KO guys like Wladimir and Haye due to weak chins.

    WAR PULEV.

Pulev is no olympic gold medalist.

He really needs to start knocking them bums out. 50% KO ratio in his first bouts is not impressive.

Kubrat Pulev is a good prospect, but he would be even better if he lost something like 10-15 pounds. He should be able to win a UD against an old Austin, but there is still a little bit of risk here. Good matchmaking from Sauerland.

2 out of Hayes 4 fights (Audley & Barrett) since moving up to HW is equal to the competetion that Pulev is fighting right now! Guinn ,Vidoz, and Skelton are that level of fighter and Pulev has beat them.

Really even Ruiz was always horrible and was washed up for him. Watching Ruiz vs Jones, and Toney was just plain embarrassing. Valuev's joints were shot and he maybe retiring. Haye has fought **** and has a fake belt. All of Hayes opponent have been about 40 years old.

Pulev, Helenius, Glazkov, Stiverne- finally starting to see some new blood at the top of the division.

Another relevant HW fight....... WOOHOO, finally some contenders fighting within the top 25.

I hope Pulev can stop Austin similarly to Wlad, except maybe a few more rounds. Would love to see Pulev vs Arreola or Grant afterwards.

The RainMan Ray Austin! This guy just hangs around like a stale old fart. How many title shots has he got now?!? I hope Pulev KO's his ass in the 2nd o 3rd like Wlad did and rids of him for good.
Austin couldn't even top Solis, with that glass head of his.

Questionable. I think Barrett/Austin would be a pick em fight.

Austin has never really beaten ANY good fighter, outside of a shot/injured/insane Golota

Good fight for the rookie. Like to see him fight Canada's Bermane Stiverne next.

A few months ago we hoped that Pulev vrs. Guinn would be a good fight, but it was very one-sided. I expect the same thing from Austin, except Austin's stamina problems be his undoing if this fight is scheduled for more than 8 rounds. If its an 8 rounder, Pulev UD, if a 12-rounder, Pulev TKO.
