This goes to show that the wbc ranking is a disgrace big time. How the hell Ray Austin is number 2 in wbc ranking? Isn't this the same Austin that Wlad tko in the second round with just a jab?

Actually it was three left hooks that put him down. But Wlad never threw a right hand the whole fight.

it's valuable time wasted on another undeserving king fighter. but at least Austin will show up and fight and not fake a back injury or whine about the contract after signing it.

You can thank Don King for that. Austin is AWFUL and should not be any where around a title shot.

he shouldn't. a win over an injured golota (granted he looked good for the 1 round duration) and w's over dom jenkins and julius long shouldn't get you a shot after the drubbing by wlad, but he's not that much more undeserving that a lot of other hw 'contenders'

I would love to see Austin leave King and take over the gate-keeper role vacated by McCline, he has a few good years left in him that he could be competitive and make good money instead of wasting his time with that cartoon of a man.

Wlad vs Austin was one of the biggest miss matches in HW title fights that I can remember in recent years. Wlad beat him with one arm tied behind his back.

it was 4 left hooks and the 5th one missed because Austin was half way to the canvas by that point.

Speaking of Austin, I was wondering the other day about his fight with Wlad. About how much do you think Austin got for that fight?

Maybe Austin should fight David Haye.
