The fight took place in 1950. In the Duran-Palomino fight, Ray Barnes is shown wrapping a fighters' hands and one of the commentators states that Barnes beat Sugar Ray in their fight but "didn't get the decision." The fight does exist on film and was on youtube at one point (but has been taken down.) What's the story, was Ray Barnes that good to beat Sugar Ray or was he like Servo in causing Ray trouble? Was he really robbed of the decision, did Sugar say anything about him? Details of the fight would be appreciated or views of people/press who saw the fight at the time.
i watched the duran v palomino fight the other night i think he was wrapping mike weavers hands. never heard of ray barnes
