Mancini against Rosario was one of those good match-ups that should have happened in the 80s but never did.Same with Mancini and Camacho when both were young and at their best.

Decently? Yes. Hardest hitter? Not even close.

He was a good puncher, just not great. He was a very good fighter, just not great .. Ray was extremely strong, a B plus puncher, pretty fast, exceptionally well conditioned wth a very solid chin .. his heart and courage were unquestioned.

He put that forward himself describing his head and ability to take a punch. His nick was "Pit Bull".

He did catch Frias cold and blew him out.

I think he stopped Orlando Romero with one shot.

But, yes, normally, he needed an accumulation to hurt a guy.

Also, remember, his competition was usually weak - great matchmaking by Dave Wolf

The truly world class natural 135 lb guys guys like Jose Luis Ramirez and Bramble, and Arguello had no trouble taking his shots.

Even Orlando Romero lasted 9 rounds and Kim 14 rounds, taking a plethora of shots.
