Leonard coming off a great (though controversial) win over ATG middleweight champion Marvin Hagler vs Sergey Kovalev who fought Canelo this November. Who wins and how?

To remind you: Leonard is 2'' shorter, but with longer reach than Kovalev, and actually a SMW at that fight

POTUS and George Crowcroft like this.

I think Leonard points. He would have to fight his boxing fight and not get into slugging like he started to do at that time.

Ray Leonard fought for LWH title at a catch weight so Lalonde had to weigh under 175, like 167 or something. He dropped Ray, landed some thudding shots throughout the fight.

I don't think Donny hits hard as Kov. Now if Kov has to do the same thing...contract weight, I guess Ray. Keeping in mind this was the same year Tommy whooped him again, difference was Hearns didn't fatigue. Funnier is that Manny Steward accused Ray of using roids in the 2nd fight.
A 3rd fight was cancelled because Duran would accept less money, so rather than prove he was better by having a rubber match against Tommy-whom fans preferred...Ray went Duran for a 3rd.

Bout goes to the score cards. It favors Ray. Doesn't mean he won though.
