Leonard outmatches McGirt in most every regard other than heart. I'm not questioning Ray's heart. McGirt just isn't outmatched there. McGirt was a real warrior, it just wouldn't be enough.

Leonard's hand speed is on par with Meldrick Taylor, and he is just too big for Buddy.

    Leonard tko 7

Wow, some serious McGirt underrated going on here.

No one's seen his clinical dissection of Simon Brown?

Taylor stopped him with a minute to go in the 12th in what was one of if not Taylor's finest performance ever. And yet Leonard blasts him out in 4 or 5 rounds?

Leonard wins, but not THAT easily.

Brown was no Leonard. And Ray was a bigger, stronger, just about as fast, more powerful version of Taylor. I dont think McGirt lasts the distance. Ray puts him away inside of 10.

I'm not saying he is, but Mcgirt was completely able to dominate B-Level fighters such as brown and give the A-Level ones a lot of trouble, like he did against Whitaker.

Leonard was far different from Sweet Pea. In terms of style, Leonard was more like Taylor than Whitaker, only a bigger puncher than Taylor. And Taylor beat up McGirt pretty one sidedly.

Ray's handspeed would cause big problems for McGirt. Buddy wouldnt be able to outbox Ray, and he DAMN SURE couldnt exchange with him.

As someone above said, Leonard is better than McGirt in every single aspect.

But McGirt was an excellent fighter.

No comparison whatsoever. Leonard was 20 pounds bigger, much harder hitting, more aggressive and a totally different proposition.

    Leonard by KO in 9.

Ray just has too much of everything for McGirt.
Watch Whitaker-McGirt II then add loads more power on Pea`s punches & that gives you a slight idea of what we are dealing with here.

I can't see how Leonard can possibly lose this one. Ray by mid to late rounds KO.

McGirt was as good as it gets without being an ATG imo, similar to Billy Graham in that regard.Leonard is an ATG,and beats Buddy in just about every department, but it would be competitive and a very good scrap imo SRL by dec.

Ray would beat Buddy either by 14th round stoppage, or UD in 15.

McGirt would get consistently beat to the punch, and get stopped late.
