An intresting thread ruined by a bunch of assholes. I'm not shocked by this. After all about 80% of the posters here are idiots who think Pacquiao has a better resume than Mayweather.
if you value retirement and vacation than fighting guys like cotto and margarito then you might be correct. when pacquiao was fighting future HOF/ATG guys like barrera, marquez and morales back-to-back-to-back in just a period of 16 months, floyd was fighting ndou, corley and bruseles.
Quality of wins = Mayweather, Quility of compition = Mayweather. Mayweather has domanated guys who are at worst very solid. Pacquiao with the exception of Barrera has domantaed guys who are at best very solid. He never domanated Marquez, De La Hoya and Morales were both past their best whe he domanated them. The rest of his resume are against guys who are at best very solid.
To answer the question. Leonard wins but it won't be easy. Leonard has the advantage in speed and size. Mayweather has better boxing skills. Ring IQ is about even, a slight edge to Mayweather. Leonard uses his size advantage to control the distance. It won't be that hard to get Mayweather to come to him, while Mayweather dose not throw a lot of punches he's a come forward boxer who looks for counter oppertunitues. Leonard will off set Mayweather with his 2" size advantage in both height and reach, along with his speed. Both boxers will look good at times. Leonard will take advantage of Mayweather sow starting to win 3 of the first 4 rounds. Mayweather will come on in the middle rounds taking 3 of the next 4. They split the next two rounds. With the fight even going in to the 11th Leonard pulls away winning the last two rounds. Leonard wins 7-5.
barrera is a much greater fighter and is ranked higher than corrales when he both were beaten by pacquaio and floyd. and pacquiao was actually moving up to fight barrera and corrales was struggling to make 130. so enough with the BS that floyd's best win is at worst a very solid win while pac's best wins are at best very solid.
