    Good match up,Nigel.

Iran would always be dangerous but I take Leonard to take control of the pace of the fight and outsmart Barkley.

Sugar Ray by clear but competitive decision.

I think Ray wins a decision he may get knocked down ala Hearns 2 or Donny Lalonde but I think he wins it.

Probably alot tougher than people think Leonard was significantly past his prime between 88-90 and was floored 3 times in that period.

Leonard wouldn't be able to stand in pocket and trade inside like Duran did as he isn't as cute or as good up close as Duran, Leonard would be on his bicycle with Barkley pursuing him all night would be a hard nights work for Leonard.

Always wondered how this one might have played out around 1989 or so. I think Ray could have still gotten a decision. But it would be one hell of a dangerous fight

I give more credit to Leonard's toughness if it finally comes to a full brawl versus Barkley. After all, he went to war in Duran I and survived, that should count for something.

However I agree it would be a very dangerous fight for Leonard, so it is more probable we see a Leonard similiar to Duran II and Hagler I, just playing it safe and showboating to a victory by decision.

Barkley beats the **** outta Leonard at 168.. Way too strong for him ... Leonard did nothing at 168 other than weaken LaLonde .. People really still give him credit for that sham of a fight ?? Leonard getting way too much credit here up in weight. Hell Norris easily schooled him at 154. All these votes for Ray is shocking. Ray's going to come outta retirement and take on Barkley at 168, a legitimate fight with no BS ? ,,, no ****ing way
funny how ppl would even entertain the thought

I think Ray finds a way to win a decision. I think Barkley woudl deck Ray 1-2 times in the fight though

Leonard W via MD. Similar to Nunn. Barkley could outwork him though, but he was very easy to hit.

    Barkley by ko.

There's this odd mythos of Leonard being elite above WW and he simply was not. He beat (really lost) to the end stages of Hagler, and he beat Donny Lalonde. He (really lost) to Hearns in the rematch, he admits this. and there is nothing else of note that he accomplished. Barkley was nothing but a big, brutish HW masquerading as a SMW, LHW. He would've stopped the Leonard that beat Lalonde and had the draw (loss) with Hearns.

Barkley is hard to figure. He KO'd Hearns twice but was beaten and knocked down by Duran. I can see Leonard getting the decision with his cutesy ways that seem to impress judges so much. I can also see a stoppage with Leonard taking a beating and the ref stepping in ala Camacho. I guess I lean towards Leonard getting a decision.
