not even the great Leornard would stop Roy getting his groove on in this fight.Roy would enjoy too much of a size advantage.
Roy is a nightmare for anyone at middleweight. As great as Sugar Ray was, RJJ is just too big, fast and strong. It would take a special middleweight to beat Roy - I think he even gives Hagler and Monzon all they can handle.
Ray was well past prime when he fought at MW. Roy was a few years before his. We do know that Ray could still punch, that he still had fast hands and that he was smart enough to set traps. But Roy hits too hard at MW for an older Ray. Now, the SRL who won a title at 154 before facing Hearns the first time, facing the 154 Roy? Ray easy - fast, powerful and clever - he'd catch Roy on the ropes or lay a trap while there himself. But Roy was immature then - it's just not fair to do a mythical match-up.
