He he he! Well, this is tricky cause there are tons of good fighters.
I think it depends on what style you like and if you don´t like Sugar Ray Leonard, Ali or Dempsey or who ever everyone gonna complain about the list. I ´ll try to make the list and probably curse of myself when I remember that I forgot some good fighters.

    1. Muhammad Ali
    2. Sugar Ray Leonard
    3. Joe Frazier
    4. Mike Tyson
    5. Roy Jones jr

Just a note. I have not thought anything about fightrecords etc, this is just my five favourite boxers. I already feel that Robinson, Marciano, Pernell Whitaker, Hearns and a lot of other fighters should be on it as well.
Don´t knock me out if you don´t agree with me, this is my personal favourite list.

 I could just imagine your embarrassment! "He actually was there! What now?"

You were just brilliant son. "Is that Robbie Simms?" followed by "You call that evidence?"

Stonehands89, you got me cornered, i have to try to slip away:p.
Okay I´ll give it a try.

    1. Muhammad Ali - for me that will never change
    2. Sugar Ray Leonard - He had it all
    3. Sugar Ray Robinson - Everyone says he´s the best and I haven´t seen that much fight´s with him but I have used youtube these couple of days and he´s GREAT! Just need to see more.
    4. Rocky Marciano- Never liked this style of boxing but can´t ignore it, his record is still holding ( Can you write it that way in english?)
    5. Hard, Perhaps Julio Ceasar Chavez

This is the best i can do today, but it feels as I have forgot someone.

Hope I got away from your hardest punches Stonehands89, my ropeadope isn´t was it was before:p

Sugar Ray Leonard deserves a place at the bottom half of the top 10 'pound for pound' IMO. Some others will go with fighters from the 30's and 40's over Leonard mainly based on activeness and quantity. Leonard's resume quality beats Willie Pep's for example even though Pep had over 200 fights.

So just because an old timer has quantity over a modern legend it isn't the be all and end all when placing greats.

Ray Leonard couldn't hold Pep's jockstrap.

Those are some serious guys on that list, Predator -no doubt about that! I also believe that Chavez is underrated on this forum.

Have you seen boxrec.com yet? It's a pretty exhaustive site with complete or near-complete records for reference. Check out Archie Moore, Willie Pep, and Harry Greb on that site.

By the way are you saying that English is not your native language...? It's good, but if it's not your first language, what is?

"So just because an old timer has quantity over a modern legend it isn't the be all and end all when placing greats."

Robbi, you have a point here. But one thing I'd say about these guys with over 100 fights is that they put it on the line more. I'd look at each guy's record and see if he had any off nights against lesser competition. If they didn't, then they deserve some props for that.
