Uh oh have I struck a nerve? Canelo misdeeds? Look I know how much losing to Canelo hurts but it's better to accept reality than to live in denial of it. Canelo's the Champ. He beat GGG fair and square. He was fully enrolled in VADA testing so there's no excuses. The sooner you accept Canelo as your Unified Middleweight Champion the Better.

No you haven’t struck a nerve, although you were visibly trying just so that you could write this.
    Predictable.

    You didn’t answer my question.

Promotional cash cows, corrupt officials and “A side” advantages exist in boxing.

Hard to take Canelo seriously when he has all that going on.

Canelo is like the Fake News of boxing.

GGG won 8-4 and then 7-5 but I still think Canelo deserves credit (tainted meat and all) as he hung with one of the best p4p fighters around.

So typical of you to think this way Shadow,so if he had Canelo winning he’d be a Canelo fan boy right?
Only folk who speak as you do are fan boys totally incapable of being subjective.

I love Mancini and I have to say he's 100% right here.

All that's happening is that they're aiming to age Golovkin ANOTHER year and maybe throw some sand in the works by forcing him to take on hard fights like Charlo. Clenelo's team knows he lost again, but they think with a few hard miles on GGG's clock and maybe another year more, they can win legitimately.

Now, I personally think Charlo / GGG would be a great fight, but its transparently obvious that he's being used as a shield for Canelo. When GGG had the belts the WBC mandated Charlo next. Now that Canelo has the belts, they're STILL mandating Charlo next for GGG  What bull****.

Personally I think that if Charlo KTFO Canelo and then fought GGG for the championship, that would be a great outcome.

Of course you do, he's a massive GGG fanboy like you.

He already fought GGG twice. How many times does Canelo have to beat up GGG for you to be satisfied lol. So it's Canelo who's forcing GGG to fight Charlo? Isn't it the WBC? The same WBC who mandated Canelo to fight GGG after Canelo beat Cotto?

So when GGG had the belts the WBC mandated GGG fight Charlo but didn't enforce it? (they let GGG fight the Canelo rematch instead right) I like how when the WBC mandated Canelo fight GGG after he won the title vs Cotto, Canelo was ducking GGG by fighting Khan and then vacating but when GGG fights Canelo instead of his "mandatory" Charlo it's OK. (he's not accused of ducking Charlo) Now the WBC is mandating GGG fight Charlo in an eliminator but GGG doesn't want to fight Charlo and he's not ducking Charlo. Isn't it funny how now that the shoe is on the other foot the WBC is all of a sudden full of BS for mandating GGG to fight Charlo but when the WBC mandated Canelo to fight his mandatory and didn't he was ducking GGG or waiting for him to get old.

You're now getting a taste of your own medicine. You love to criticize Canelo when the WBC mandated Canelo to fight GGG but now that GGG is mandated to fight Charlo all of a sudden they are being unreasonable. It's clear that you are only calling the WBC out when they make demands out of GGG but you support them when they make demands out of Canelo. At least try to act like you're somewhat unbiased in voicing your displeasure of the WBC.

With that said, I don't think GGG should have to fight Charlo even though the WBC is mandating that he has to, so I sort of agree with you there. I believe that GGG fought well enough vs Canelo to get another rematch without having to fight anyone else. Frankly that's the fight I want to see as I want to see a more decisive winner and I enjoyed both fights. But GGG has made it clear that he needs time off. Whether or not Canelo GGG 3 happens in May or September 2019, GGG is not going to age "that much" in 3 months. Personally I would like to see Canelo fight Jacobs in May then fight GGG again in September. (and you should like that too because that gives GGG a chance to win all his titles back in one shot) But if you are so worried about GGG aging them I'd be fine with them fighting in May and the winner fight Jacobs in September. Either way is fine with me.

Why don't you drop the whole Canelo is trying to age GGG mantra. He's already fought G twice. It's not Canelo's fault GGG is aging. If you had any class you wouldn't use that as an excuse to discredit Canelo.

You'd like that wouldn't you. Anything to avoid having to fight Canelo again and save G another L.

It's not just who he had winning. It's the way he sounded in that interview. I have respect for Mancini but he did come off like a GGG fanboy.

Golovkin is the greatest MW of this time. Why wouldn't he be a fan?

Except that GGG pushed Canelo's **** in twice.

They explicitly said that if GGG didn't fight Canelo he had to face Charlo because he was the mandatory.

    Correct it was a duck.

And Golovkin was mandatory to the title even before Canelo beat Cotto:

"Gennady Golokvin – who faces Willie Monroe Jr. at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. – was named the WBC interim champion, meaning, in effect, he is the WBC’s mandatory challenger to Cotto. As this fight was consummated last fall, a deal was struck by K2 Promotions and the sanctioning body that allowed Cotto to have one voluntary defense by this month before having to face Golovkin."

    http://ucnlive.com/does-ggg-step-aside-for-cotto-canelo/

Because the WBC made Charlo mandatory in order to force a GGG / Canelo rematch. That was the point. He wasn't a mando until the negotiations stalled.

WHY SHOULD CHARLO FIGHT AN ELIMINATOR IF HE IS ALREADY MANDATORY????

    FFS.
YES. They just stole Charlo's shot at the title in order to protect Canelo.

CHARLO IS MANDATORY, DIMWIT. MANDATORY TO THE TITLE.

Try to be consistent for ONCE in your life.

Ummmmm ... I won't drop it because IT IS TRUE???

Canelo could have defended his WBC title before but instead opted to puss out and vacate instead of facing GGG. He waited till GGG showed signs of slowing before fighting him and he's waiting yet again after getting beaten up twice.

Well "The Greatest MW of this time" just got his ass kicked by Canelo, so I guess that makes GGG the greatest MW of that time, anotherwords before Canelo time.

Oh did he? And how many wins does he have to show for it? GGG didn't push nothin in, he got exposed by Canelo twice. But cling on to your moral victories : your little rally in the 10th round of the rematch where GGG had a moment. Besides that GGG got his ass kicked over 24 rounds. And he got his **** pushed in. If you wanna see someone's **** get pushed in watch the middle rounds of the first fight. Those uppercuts pushed GGG's chin up into the rest of his face!

No need to fight me over this. I pretty much agree that the WBC dictates way too much. Whether it was dictating to Canelo before he fought Cotto that the winner had to fight GGG or whether it was what they are doing demanding GGG fight Charlo. See unlike you I don't only complain when the WBC dictates to one fighter and not the other. There should never be a situation where a new Champ is mandated to fight someone when or even before he wins the belt. That's just stupid, and it's especially ridiculous when the Title was won at a catchweight.

So the WBC was wrong to make demands of Canelo like they did when he beat Cotto, and they were wrong to demand GGG fight Charlo when he's not even the Champ. And it makes no sense to make someone a mandatory like the WBC did with making Charlo GGG's mandatory, but then say you don't have to fight Charlo if you fight Canelo.

You're using the WBC's demands (the same organization you are now criticizing for how they are making GGG fight Charlo) to say the Canelo pussed out. Well you can't have your cake and eat it too. So then I guess GGG is pussing out for not wanting to fight Charlo huh. You tell me to be consistent but you're clearly not.

Canelo vacating the WBC belt had nothing to do with not wanting to fight GGG or wanting GGG to get older. It had to do with the WBC dictating timetables to him. They gave him a 15 day timetable after he beat Khan to come to terms with GGG, or have it go to purse bids which would greatly benefit GGG.

You're being so disingenuous by trying to dumb down what happened. Canelo was tied up in a court case involving his former promoter after fighting Khan and he was in no position to agree to terms within 15 days. That was a completely ridiculous demand by the WBC and it seemed to me that GGG was egging them on to put pressure on Canelo so he could get a better split. Canelo dropped that belt and it was the smartest thing he ever did. Now he has that belt again and he's a two-time champ.

The forum would be such a better place if it were like the old days... draw unless one fighter got stopped. Everything beyond that a "newspaper decision."

You complain about the state of boxing and how one loss is unrightfully crippling yet you freak out when you feel your boy got the wrong end of a one-point-swing. Chill. Get over it.
