At their best at a catch weight...lets say 137/138. A dream match between two pressure fighters. Who takes it?

I think Mancini would win because of his boxing skills. Could you please tell me why do you think he would win?

Catchweight Hatton wins well; at a set weight; say 138; Mancini would have a much better chance, but unless he can get Hatton to 135 I still Hatton winning.

Very interesting. I think that at 137 for example wouldn't be a big deal for either fighter in their primes, and therefore they would be able to perform without a problem. I think Mancini wins this one if they fight at that weight. I think Mancini was faster and had more skills than Hatton.

I would say Hatton (because of his lifestyle) pretty much has to kill himself to make 140; thus even getting down to 137 would dramatically affect the way he could perform.

To be honest, Hatton does not have any trouble weighing in at 140, and has made the weight first time on every occasion. He generally puts on about two and half stone, but having a 12 week training camp needs to lose only 3lb per week, which isn't a problem.

The weight he carries round is excess due to crispy duck and beer - he is not naturally that size, therefore doesn't have to strain. He could probably still make lightweight now, if he could go up only a stone rather than 2 1/2!

Do you really think that Hatton can make 137/138 without a problem? I think he can, but I might be wrong.

I think the last couple may be a struggle, but certainly no more than most fighters when dropping the last few.

Put it this way, Hatton makes 140 much easier than Pacman does 130, and probably as easy as Calzaghe makes 168.

Which version of Hatton? Pre-Tszyu, the swarming, body punching dynamo Hatton

Or Post-Tszyu - the boring fighter who leads with his head and holds way too much

If it's the latter than I'm going with Mancini no doubt

I would go with Hatton, in a rough fight. While I love Mancini, I always thought he was overrated.

This has been the first mythica match in a longtime I cant pick. Mancini was the better boxer, better jab, and Hatton was a little bigger stockier and stronger. As far as power I give an edge to Hatton simply because he was larger and showed similar power. If the fight is fought inside I see Hattons mauling bodypunching style seeing him through. Mancini had a huge heart but both could be hit. I think Mancini had the skills and the heart to outbox the larger Hatton and slug with him enough to win a hard fought Split Descision. If it went 3 fights..I go with Hatton 2-1
