Seem like he conveniently forgot his meeting with Klitschko.

Oh well if Ray said it, it must be true

What I fpund interesting about the interview was the subject of a Tyson fight. Mercer reckons Tyson never signed a contract to box him, that Mike was all about pulling put of fights if he knew the opponent was in shape. WTF is that all about?

Tyson didin't pull out of fights if his opponents were in shape that's for sure. I believe Tyson would have had too much natural ability, too much speed of hand/foot for Mercer.

I'm not saying Tyson would have stopped Ray because Mercer had a great chin, but I think Tyson was on a different level when it came to skills.

Did he not get dropped by Holyfield too?

Yeah, but that was a body punch, not "a shot to the chin".

Maybe a couple of years ago Ray. Today you'd just be canon fodder.

It was a left hook to the jaw. Two, actually.

If Mercer meets Haye, i think it'd resemble Mercer-Klitschko a lot, except that Mercer is even more shot right now and will probably not make it into the 6th.

Interesting statement from a gentleman of 47 years. Haye is fast if not anything else. Haye can be KTFO though..

Haha. Mercer just wants a pay day. We'll see if he even gets into top shape for this fight. Haye can make some money here, but it will be funny if a 40 something guy starches him, and if Mercer lands his right hand, that can happen.

Yeah, you're right. Though it was more a case of him taking a knee than a classic knockdown. Holyfield hit him with a rabbit punch while he was on his knee and he was perfectly fine.
Well, he was already stopped by a 40 year old senior citizen, so it's not toally out of question. :yep

Come on man, Ray is FINISHED, I'm pretty sure Haye and his team won't even pay attention to this. I have a lot of respect for Mercer and a big fan of his but this fight is just wrong for him, it's clear he needs the money but he should think about his health at this stage.

This won't even be a test for Haye, a two rounder if Haye is kind enough to let it go that far.

Yes but WALDO was stopped by a 38 year old senior citizen who was semi-retired....at least Haye lost to a champion.
