Doubtful. Lewis produced perhaps his best KO over Rhaman about a year and a half before, didn't he? His power looked liked it always did vs Tyson as well.

The uppercut Vitali took was one of the best Lewis had ever thrown in his career, prehaps the best.

I saw it. Tua was actually not too heavy back then. Savon put him out easily with a punch.

WIth Mavrovic, he showed a good chin in that match vs Lewis, sort of like Liakhovich showed a good chin vs Lamon Brewster. ( one of the best heavyweight fight since 2000...honest ) But it was only one fight, and as his career went on Liakhovich wasn't viewed as super durable. Yet if this was his only fight vs a top guy, he would be. Fair point?

Another few points, Vitali fought many more times, and a much better class. He proved it. Mavrovic only did on one night in a short career with his share of no names and journeyman on his resume. Stopped in the amateurs in a kick boxing match with an illegal kick is one thing. Vs punches in a boxing match is something else.

I meant being 37 was the main factor he retired ,not that he had lost his power, though his reflexes had slowed some and it was becoming harder for him to deliver it.

Then why is everyone using one fight as an argument for Mavrovic not having a very good chin? Especially when that fight is in the amateurs.

Seems to me the fairest stance on Mavrovic, is that he had a very very good chin, but was relatively untested

The same Tyson that was stopped by Danny Williams? His durability was gone but he still lasted longer than Vitali despite taking an absolute pasting of uppercuts and right hands clean across the head.

Educate yourself , a punch thrown/landed over longer distance is less powerful than one thrown/landed at a shorter distance. Simply put , a taller man will take a Lewis uppercut better than a shorter man as the force on impact will be greater when hitting the shorter opponent.
If you can't understand this then you don't understand boxing.

Many experts noted Marciano's power came from throwing short compact punches , meaning his fists would generate major velocity from travelling only a few inches. The same goes for Mike Tyson.

Lewis uppercut not only traveled a longer distance than the ones that hit Mavarvov , Tyson , Holy etc .. but it was also a LOT slower. Speed =power.
Lewis was slow as a sloth against the taller Vitali. These factors scientifically prove the Lewis uppercut that hit Vitali was one of the weakest he ever threw.

Please go ahead and prove ydksab by disputing this fact based logic.
