Wladmir's power is sometimes underrated, but using a completely shot 40 year old Mercer KO as evidence is dubious at best.

If his power was top 5, I think he'd have more clean KOs and more early KOs. I get that he developed a more cautious outside style relying on jab, grab, jab, grab 1-2 tactics, but you don't always see jaw dropping raw power on display with Wladmir or 1-punch KOs. In some fights he breaks the opponent down with an accumulation of blows. Hard to say. Top 10 bare minimum for sure tho.

 

Yes, it would be difficult to explain why Wlad's power was not worthy of top-10 spot.
