Please refer me to the post, in which I made this claim.

If you are referring to a 41 year old Toney being elite, no need...that goes without saying....except that Toney is 40, so I need a little help with what you are saying.

James Toney is still elite even old...but that's Toney, not every fighter.

What "elite" wins has Toney had recently? :huh

Mercer was way past his prime, but he was not shot yet. He actually tried and it was the last time I remember him having any dawg in him. He fought well at the beginning but Wlad went into old school terminator mode.

Wlad was pretty lucky he was able to stop Mercer because he was still under the Fritz plan and I thought he looked like he had at most a few rounds left in him before he was going to shoot his load and collapse.

you are killing me, now i'll have to go through dozens of pages. let me just paraphrase it instead, somebody said that toney had a very bad record at hw because he is 4-2-1 and one NC. you said he was an elite hw because he had a win over fields, who was still world class in 2003.

He competes at the elite level...and why do you want to have this conversation every day...???

...when you know I'm just going to say only one HW has defeated him at the elite level...:bart

    I'm not denying he's elite.

He is, but that is Toney and has nothing to do with Mercer.

...and Toney is 40 not 41, and has only been defeated by one HW while competing at the elite level.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Toney being the fat slob he is is not competing at the elite level. Sam Peter is not and never will be elite either. :patsch

James Toney is addicted to steroids and his career is over. He is having to fight Tony Thompson in a crossroads fight for christ sakes! Even Goosen has said the loser is basically finished.

We are not here to discuss how you wish things were, rather how they are...

You are a fool...competing in 2 eliminators for the World Title, in itself makes you elite.

The fact that his only HW loss comes from the WBC World Champ makes him elite.

suge, do you agree then, that there should be a third option in poll? i mean between prime and totally shot. btw would wlad still be an elite hw if he was 4-2-1, 1 NC against toneys oppositon? my guess is that you would be all over him...

If Wlad had 2 failed steroid tests we would never hear the end of it. But, this is the same guy that was trying to tell us that James Toney has power at Heavyweight even though he has just one stoppage. :rofl:patsch

WLAD is elite because he's the champ....that's really all that needs to be said.

    Same goes for Peter.

As much of a disgrace as he is, even John Ruiz competed for many years at the elite level.

You are a lying sack of ****...

...tell me where I've ever beat the steroid drum. That's your schtick.

James Toney does have power. When you let him hit you...we will discount the words of the HWs that have been hit by him.

...this is the sport of BOXING not KOs.

Yeah competed at an elite level is the opperative word, but sometimes the elite level in a division goes down.

Yes they may compete on an elite level at hw but they arent p4p elite fighters or anywhere near.

Ray mercer was so shot for the wlad fight if he'd of drunk a glass of water he would of looked like a watering can :patsch

when you have 1 corner stoppage in 9 Heavyweight fights against Toney's mediocre competition I think that pretty much proves that he has no power.

I most certainly will discount Hasbeen Rahman's words because as we have already established he has a Glass Jaw.

Why would you beat the steroid drum when Toney is the one flunking all of the tests? :nut
