Maybe i'm being a bit harsh basing my opinion on Rossy losing to a top 10 heavyweight in Chambers.
Considering his lack of experience he may have more room for improvement than most.He has lots of heart, thats a good start

I just know that I boxed a similar amount of time as Rossy and he was fighting on tv, and I was losing amatuer bouts against guys with little experience...:D

This is, as many are indicating, likely to be a competitive fight. Mercer is DONE, but Rossy is limited, and green. This is, imo, a pick 'em fight. Wouldn't be surprised one way or another. Something tells me Mercer is only in it for the paychecks these days, and Rossy will win.

"something tells" you that mercer is only in it for paychecks? is it his terrible record lately, his forays into other sports only to get embarassed, or the fact that hes 50?

I'l be pissed off if Mercer just lies down, especially as the undercard looks nothing great.

Mercer should've retired after that horrific beating from Klitschko.

Maybe he'll make Rossy an offer to lie down. OIf course it can be near as much as the one he made to Jesse Ferguson.

The thing is that Rossy have got heart and desire and Mercer don´t have it anymore. So, Rossy will just give it all he has and outwork and outhastle Mercer round after round... But maybe old-Ray has enough heart left to go the distance. I would not be suprised even if Rossy would stop Ray in 3-4 rounds.

In 1998? He was pretty much done as a fighter at that time. Try the early 90s and you will see prime Mercer!

Looks like Mercer dropped a decision to Rossy. So what happens now? Mercer retires? Rossy gets a bigger fight?

Ray Mercer should have saved his money, or invested it, he should not be in this position.

He should not be boxing anymore. I think his licence should be revoked. I remember him being a fine boxer in his prime, that was in the mid 1990's against Lewis though. It is now 2008!

I just hope that Rossy doesnt hurt him to much.
