Mercer didn't have the stamina. He was flabby and out-of-breath against Lewis.

Ring sizes are key and were often issues of debate in that era. That being said I like Corbett by decision rather easily, Sharkey is a bad style match up and would likely lose by decision, Jeffries would out class him and win by decison and poor Fitz would likely get flattened like he did against Jeffries ...

So your not going to give a definative response to the question ?

 

You cant go into a fight saying:

"It dosn't matter that this fight is scheduled for 45 rounds because I only need 5".

By that logic you wouldnt even bother to train.

In the real world everybody starts getting taken the distance when the hit world level, however good they are as a finisher. Therfore Mercer is going to have to adapt to being a 25 round fighter or perish.

Also if we are matching Mercer vs this era, then we can't just take his random best performence. We have to factor in his off nights as well.
