Two very good fighters but I think Tubbs is the better fighter and wins on points. Who do you see winning.

Idk, TT was a tough talented guy, fast handed to. If we go with a rare occasion when Tubbs was in shape then I'll give him a points win over Mercer. If Tony comes in lackluster, and we have a focused Ray, then maybe a shellshackin from Mercer.

Tubbs by decision if he's at his best, he'll outquick and outthink Mercer. As has been said, you're somewhat rolling the dice on if you get that version of Tubbs, though, and if he's anything but fully locked in, Mercer could hurt him badly.

Tubbs could do exactly what Holmes did.

If you held me at gunpoint I'd bet on Mercer. I simply don't trust Tubbs, and I believe I'm entitled to that opinion

Tubbs UD. Too fast and too skilled for Mercer.

A Generation of Supermen. The most talented, the most skilled, the most athletic, the most groomed, the most jherri curled. And the CIA sought them out with their trainloads of booger sugar and guns.

If boxing were only talent and skill, the Rushmore would be arranged thusly...

    Dokes, Tubbs, Tucker, Spoon, Pinky...

This fight almost happened around 1992-1993 shortly after Tony Tubbs beat Bruce Seldon. It was briefly talked about then suddenly dropped ( probably because Ray was getting lined up for a title shot against Riddick Bowe but subsequently blew it against Jesse Ferguson. ) at any rate, I’d pick Tony to win a comfortable decision unless Mercer hit him with the same kind of left uppercut that broke Francesco Damiani’s nose.
