Ok but he ate shots from Morrison and Lewis who are big punchers. Morrison in particular was said to have hit harder than Mike Tyson by Ruddock himself.

So I see your fixation on Ferguson, ( Which I already said I was going strictly off of memory from over 30yrs ago, unlike you who continues to go and read box rec for your agenda) but you fail to mention the other names I mentioned. Why so? Because they don't fit your agenda? Look , Wilder K'oed a bunch of 3rd raters or fighters that probably should've been retired by the time they fought him. He fought one good fighter, and if it wasn't for Fury getting lazy the 1st fight, their wouldn't have been a need for the 2nd.
In the 2nd fight, Fury proved their would be no need for a 3rd Because he came into the fight in shape and focused and beat the hell out of Mr. Wilder,,,, easily.
But I'm glad you continue to point out the one, but not the other 4 I mentioned, that in itself shows your agenda. So continue to focus on Ferguson. It shows how weak your argument about Wilder really is.
You must be a Trumper. Pick out one argument, to hide your inadequacies about the other.
I'm sure your also a excuse maker, Just like Deontay Wilder.

I know posters here will feel like knowledgeable tough guys by picking Mercer, but this is basically the same as the first Stiverne fight if Mercer trains, and more like the second one if he doesn’t.

You've got to be joking. Imagine comparing that piece of **** to prime Mercer. Wilder would beat Mercer if he neglected his training but both on their best night Mercer would blow his back out and it would not be competitive

Wilder is a huge puncher, but his skills are average at best. Obviously he has a puncher's chance, but if they were to face each other 10 times, my money's on Mercer to win 7 or 8 of those encounters.

Stiverne was a real champion, unlike Mercer.

Mercer was a tough fighter who didn't have the quickest feet and was not hard to hit. He didn't really have anything Wilder hasn't seen already.

A real champion ? Both won titles
Regardless Mercers win over Morrison is better than anything Stirvern has done. You can call Morrison trash but he's still beaten old Foreman and Ruddock which is are arguably Wilder tier opponents. Mercer would press the action and Wilder will get clipped like he dis against bum Molina

I think Arreola would put Morrison away. I’m sure of it, more accurately.

Stiverne won a recognized belt. Mercer didn’t.

To be fair to Mercer though, I think he’d do better than Molina.

Wilder would definitely exceed Jesse Ferguson’s performance though.

Mercer's reputation seems to be based on being competitive in fights he lost. But in terms of resume I'm not sure he is ahead of Stiverne.

How many guys ranked in the top 10 did he beat? His best win is probably a decision over a faded Witherspoon many feel he didn't deserve.

A beyond shot Arreola would beat Morrison ? Because he gave diabetic Ruiz issues ? You're the same person who thinks Ruiz would beat prime George Foreman so yeah maybe im just taking you too seriously.

And Mercer on his best day would perform 4 times better than glass jaw Szpilka and bum Molina. Its funny because for such a devastating puncher he tagged Szpilka tons of times but never knocked him out but Chisora taps Szpilka and kills him.

You know Mercer ended up having a very good jab as he even out jabbed Lewis on occasion.
Think that would be the difference as Mercer had a great chin and was strong but that jab would have bothered Wilder.

Morrison, in particular, never knocked anyone significant out.

I'd like some of what you were smoking if you think Arreola was shot for the Stiverne fights.

Lol@Jesse Ferguson and an old asss Holmes.

Never mentioned the Stiverne fight. Was talking about the Ruiz fight. But the Ruddock that Morrison knocked out was better than anybody Stiverne beat. Take a good look at Arreolas resume. He's beaten nobody or at least never gave any noteworthy opponent a run for their money except Adamek ? At least Morrison beat old Foreman who was a decent top 10 fighter
