Mercer nearly had a draw with a prime Lennox Lewis who was much better than Frazier at just about everything.
Distorting reality does not make it true. As far as you calling me a fool my response is that comments from a novice dip **** like yourself mean little. You simply don't know what you don't know .. common among lightweights like yourself.
Gee, but your "nearly KO" of Ali isn't dumb? You may want to check out his 1 punch KO of Damiani, who had a solid chin.
no, it is not dumb at all, the concept " nearly ko" is very real and a fact. it is when a guy is drunk on his feet with poor balance,on the other hand saying " NEARLY HAD A DRAW WITH LEWIS" and trying to use it as a point in favour of mercer in a fantasy match with joe frazier is stupid AT LEAST. NEARLY A DRAW is a stupid concept , first because you are admiting that he lost and second that lewis and frazier were not even similar stylistically. But don't worry, now you are the new champion when you compared damiani with ali. you did beat mendoza by ko
Some of your posts are good. But this isn't one of them ^ The point he's trying to make is that Mercer could fight at a very high level if he had his ass in gear. There's nothing easy about this fight at all for Frazier. I suggest that you take a look at Cooper / Mercer to see what Ray did when he was motivated. For what it's worth, I think that fight shaved years off both of them.
yes, because if you admit that it is good would not leave you in a good position Totally irrelevant, Frazier showed it also against Ali!! , with the difference that he won , NOT A NEARLY DRAW. still it did not matter too much against another style like george's. i have watched this fight around 15 times but thanks anyway. And now are you comparing bert cooper with Joe Frazier? keep it up
Totally relevant. You seem to have the opinion that Frazier makes mincemeat out of Mercer, like he's some sort of a bum, and it's being pointed out that he's also world class. If that were true then I can't see how you can hold such a poor opinion of Mercer. I could compare Bert Cooper's level to Oscar Bonavena, who Frazier struggled with.
