Should have happened. What would happen if they fought... both at their best?

No knockouts here but I think McCall would get the decision if he throws the greater volume of punches

Mercer was the better all around fighter. Definitley a distance fight and a good fight but I suspect Mercer would win a decision if we are talking the best versions of each guy.

Yep i think mercer had the better skillset and style to win this one, same mercer that fought lewis wins.

McCall did better than Mercer against Lewis , Ferguson and Holmes .
I bet he would have even done better against Marion Wilson had he fought him closer 2 Wilson's prime whenever it was .

McCall >> Mercer end olso hit harder end tuk e panch beter

I ges McCall's big kok skers ppl so dei h8 him .

Why did you decide to go full ****** half way through writing this? Surely it's not that much effort to type a word in it's entirety?

Wilson? Yes. They ended up fighting to a draw.

Holmes? No. I was one of the few that thought Holmes would beat him.

Ferguson? Mercer took him lightly and blew his shot at Bowe. He did win the rematch.

McCall's win over Ferguson was nothing special, neither was Mercer's. Holmes was older vs. McCall. Wilson and McCall were both a million years old when they fought.

I''m not even a fan of Mercer.I was a fan of McCall... but you can only feel so sorry for a guy who had everything and blew it... more than once.

IMO, on most nights Mercer does a little more than McCall and gets the close decision win. McCall had a great chin and had good power but he did not throw nearly enough punches vs. the good fighters he faced... for the most part.

Mercer on points. I would be stunned to see either guy hurt here, two cement chins..

Mecer had the better jab and was overall a little more polished I feel... Mccall was tough as nails and fought everyone, either in the gym as a long time chief sparring partner (for Tyson among others) or in the ring..

Mccall was always in shape so on many nights Mccall would have Ray's number.. But if we are going primes I will take the in shape motivated Ray..

Mccalls best win is a one punch flash over Lewis.. Mercer even in defeat had many more impressive performances then did Mccall.. And this is coming from a Mccall fan..

Ray Mercer points behind the jab
