Ray Mercer vs Wladimir Klitschko Prime for Prime

He gassed out due to his own poor game plan. Hence his panic attack vs. Brewster.

 

Well, yeah, he messed all the way up. But in Brewster fight he had his sugar level way over the top, so I would look for this to be an additional cause.

 

Mercer blew hot and cold. But at his best vs peak Wlad, I would favour Mercer. I see him getting in close and roughing up Wlad for a KO. He melts when the heat is turned up too high. Not in my top 10 at all.
*As an aside, in their real fight I loved how Mercer absolutely refused to give him any credit at all after *

 

I enjoyed Klitschko/Mercer as well. Personally I think it was stopped a bit too early. Ray was still in it man.

 

It was a good stoppage. Mercer was getting hammered and not responding. Earlier in the fight Mercer was sneaking in a few hard jabs of his own.

 

Wlad wins, he proved his power can bother Mercer so he can't just walk through it like he could to Lennox and Wlad was much better at fighting on the outside and keeping opponents on the outside and tying them up when they got close so I think he'll be able to do the same to Mercer
