Ray Mercer vs Wladimir Klitschko Prime for Prime

Mercer had a good jab, but not like Wlads. His is faster and lands with a lot of force. Its Mercer's chin and mindset that would keep him in the fight more than anything and we saw Mercer look great against Lewis, but look like total **** against Jesse Ferguson.

 

Mercer Ko 5, Mercer would be all over him and them right hand bombs would be too much for Wlad. Mercer, had a great chin too.

 

Holmes, at 42 would beat Wlad too, with ease I might add.

Almost a 50/50 fight imo.

Either Wlad by tight UD or Mercer by T/KO is my bet... can't decide.

 

mercer by ko in 7 rounds. he was a better fighter. he had x 350 better chin, he fought a great fight against a great version of lewis.

as for the fight itself its a toss up IMO, ray mercer has shown in the lennox lewis fight he can hang with the big heavys as wlad has shown in the first sam peter fight he can get back up from being knocked down by a respectable (all though extremely limited) puncher. i can see this fight going in either way: a wide UD12 or late stoppage in favor of wlad or a late knockout after being outclassed by ray mercer.

1. wlad is big therefore making him unbeatable

2. wlad has the best jab in history bar none

3. he can lose to an ex golfer but he can beat everyone else

Mercer reminds me of Ike - but he actually had a full career.

Wlad keeps the distance with the jab and throws some right hands.

Nothing Ray has will combat that. A double-triple jab? Not going to work against this Wlad.

Mercer comes out aggressive like he usually does then eventually eats way too many shots and is KOed in the later rounds.

 

Wlad would win by late TKO or UD
