    Man! Seeing these old fights is almost a dream come true! Robinson as an amateur is something I thought I would never see. Him vs Pep would be another one of those dreams fulfilled.

    They fought in a barn as amateurs right? If I’m remembering the story correctly.

    Hey Gazelle,

    I read about the fight years ago in Robinson’s book by Dave Anderson. Other than reading that they fought and Robinson and was deeply impressed by Pep I don’t remember any other details.
