You're right about that actually, just like every fighter, those guys had tune up fights and stay busy fights between big names, just a lot more of them then guys today.

At least there's film available of SRR to review and see his actions.

Beats both easily on the same night?

Sorry to say but it appears your dad is suffering from some kind of disorder.

Young Ali was no doubt seriously hurt by Doug Jones and Henry Cooper.

I don`t think PBF could do anything with SRR... Not busy enough, and he can`t just sit back and think he can pot shot Robinson ro a victory. The one guy who I think could give him a tough fight at welter is SRL. Hearns to chinny for SRR, Paq not good enough. SRL would be competive for a while, but vintage SRR could go a hard 15, had a great chin, reach, power and tremendous ring intellect. He wouldn`t fade like Hearns did against SRL...No one should kid themesleves into thinking that PBF with the way he fights (very cautious) would come anywhere near beating SRR. Problematic, maybe. Beating SRR no...Hearns would have been a problem but his chin against Roobie`s power would not produce a good result for Hearns. Look for SRR to do it to Hearns even quicker than SRL...
