Too bad this one never came to fruition. I think Dick would've given Ray a better fight than LaMotta, Fullmer, Graziano or even Turpin ever did.

Robinson, like Griffith, Giardello, and Archer, and like in another thread where i posted the same for Monzon, would have had the boxing sense to utilize the most practical and smart way of beating Tiger...by boxing, moving and utilizing the jab. All the fighters mentioned were smart enough not to match strength, muscle to muscle with Tiger, but to box to victory.

Ray would have had the smarts...but Im not so sure he would have had the physical ability at about the time Tiger was hitting his prime.

Ray gets it at his very best...anything less than his very best is having a real hard time here.

I think he would lose then. I agree with the rest. Both are among the absolute elite mws IMO.

Ray had the ring smarts not to play to Tiger's strengths, and the boxing skill to implement it.He takes a comfortable decision ,in an entertaining fight.

considering rays display against maxim who would of beat tiger in myh opinion i see ray getting a decision due to sheer speed and movement. tiger not mobile enought to pressure him and keep up with him.
