Did Ray have enough Magic at 160 to deal with Marvin??

The 30 yr old Robinson that stopped Lamotta at MW beats any version of Hagler.

This would be a series. Ray would probably win two out of the three. each bout going the distance, and very close.

Robinson at his best at mw beats Hagler, any other version loses.

If lesser fighters can beat Ray Robinson at Middleweight, then Marvin Hagler certainly can.

I could see Robinson being ahead initially but tiring down the stretch to give Hagler the victory over 15 rounds.

I see Hagler's crowding giving Ray a lot of trouble. In a series itd be very tough for me to call

One of only two men i favour to beat Robinson at MW, is Hagler. I think he could go about his business like Basilio did(NOT COMPLETELY LIKE BASILIO DID), a rock solid jab, rock solid chin and consistent, patient, effective fundamental boxing.

Only Hagler has more dimensions to his work than Basilio, with sharp lateral movement, more formible power in both hands and generally better physical and technical attributes across the board.

Basically, i believe Hagler can match him in a boxing match and Robinson might be less committed to opening up after testing Hagler's stalwart chin and being kept at bay his powerful jab. If Hagler back him up and pressures him too much on the inside, Robinson could unleash and definatley hurt Hagler which would be dangerous times, but i think he'd be more calculated in his approach. And i don't think Robinson would work enough to get the decision.

Very true and any version after his 3 year break then halger needs to be seriously favoured. I'd take Robinson at his absolute peak at middleweight when he moved up around the La Motta 6 version to beat marvin though

Well, it's Pachilles. So, either Greb or a focused Duran, I'd wager.
