    Round 2

Ponomarev is continuing to work his way in from the outside behind a spray of jabs and body shots. Zewski is waiting, dropping his face to his right, toward his planted knee, and tossing out side jabs at shoulder level. Zewski torques in on a hook in the hopes of catching Ponomarev on the way in. Ponomarev is jabbing, staying just beyond Zewski's reach, light on his toes, hopping away when Zewski sweeps a hook.

    10-9 Ponomarev

    20-18 Ponomarev

For the record, Ponomarev was a 7/3 underdog.

    Round 3

Ponomarev is scoring his jab on the outside and pulling back to dodge Zewski's counters. Ponomarev is countering the counters with a long fishing-rod left hook turned over at the very end of its journey, tickling Zewski's cheek. Long pull counter right by Ponomarev after baiting Zewski with a jab and leaning out. Ponomarev is caught by a right hand counter as he leads with his own stepping in. Ponomarev adjusts distance, back to the outside, making Zewski lunge and touching him with jabs. Ponomarev is scooting back as Zewski torpedoes a right on the body, just rustling the material of Ponomarev's trunks but not making contact bodily. 1-2 by Ponomarev.

    10-9 Ponomarev

    30-27 Ponomarev

Another round for Pom, Zewski looks slightly lost and can't cope with the aggression that well. The handspeed and workrate of Pom can't be understated, he tasted Zewski's power early and then realised he could take some of his shots. Now he's confident of outhustling Zewski, who needs a big round to back into the fight.

KP started fast last time out and yet slowed dramatically in the later half...could be that MZ is hoping for the same here

Even round, 10-10 workrate was for Pov, but Zewski managed to get through with the better work, in particular three jabs and a nice right hand and a crunching body shot. However, Pov still looks the better all-round fighter.
