He had a shot against Vitali too, right at the end of his career but he got injured. Chris Byrd stepped in...

That would've been crazy, I had no idea Mike was supposed to face Dokes on the same night.

Sounds like some kind of WWE Tag Team hoopla.

Ruddock says "Chicken Kiev" ducked him.

Anyway, that makes Byrd-Vitali a replacement fight similar to Douglas-Tyson.

    Quite chilling.

I am not the biggest fan of Razor, a very close friend of mine was not paid by Razor for his services in the corner for both Tyson fights.. In fact i was planning to attend the Ruddock v Klitschko bout with a court injunction ... (thank god it was cancelled) lmao.... Art Miles was almost in his 80's and was struggling financially, he was trying to train 2 decent prospects Juan Lazcano and Mark Carrier.. Ruddock owed Arthur over $400.000 of unpaid fees from 3 training camps... Art died about 3 years ago and never got his wishes... God Bless.....

    He's 49.
C'mon man...you of all people should realise the potential harm that could come to him.
I love Razor Ruddock, love the guy to bits, been a fan for many years. But we should be concerned about his health here.
If he wants to fight a few meaningless four rounders then by all means...but talk of a fight with a Klitschko is utter madness. He could and probably would get seriously hurt.

I don't care how good he looks, he is 49. He's basically a middle-aged man. If by some miracle he lands a title shot, he could be well over 50 years of age.

In other word ruddock is in trouble.. im guessing hes ripped up, n at his age thats not a good thing in the ring. A 211 pounds at his age his body must be dry as hell.

Vitali would have crushed Ruddock in 2 rounds max, and that was over 10 years ago. Poor Ruddock will probably end with brain damage if he keeps on fighting.

    :blood

He said that like two years ago, and called out then- (still- ?) Canadian HW champ Neven Pajkic...and I think even went as far as having a press conference with him.

    Then...

    :conf

I'd assumed he had just given up on the comeback. Why delay it so long? :? Why not have just done it a couple of years ago when he first started crowing about it? (and when Pajkic was still unbeaten, FWIW)

Pajkic hasn't defended the Canadian title in two years now (basically ever since Ruddock was supposed to have come back and challenged for it)

Is he still even champ? :huh

It hasn't been contested by anyone else, so he may well be.

How funny would it be if Ruddock takes a few whacks from this guy, laughs them off, and flattens him inside a round? (after Tyson Fury got dropped by him)

I dont have a problem with this because he didnt take much punishment. He retired on a win streak because of a shoulder injury. That said, I read he is much lighter now that when he was fighting which may not be good. I think hes under 220. He was fighting in the 240s i believe
