Ruddock "fell in love with his power" before Patterson came on board.

Patterson was hired after the Tyson losses and yes, he tried to convince Ruddock to fall back on his jab like when he started out in his career but it was the wrong move IMO..................Ruddock did far better with his old methods, you do not teach a old dog new tricks.and he would have iced Page and Jackson with a jab or without.........that lazy solar plex jab Lewis countered was the beginning of the end of their fight, previous Ruddock would not have fought like that and instead tried to set up Lewis for the smash, does not mean he would have won but it would have been interesting how Lewis would have taken the smash.
