I wanted to say 'Ruddock' but as Quarry never had any problems with hard hitters as he destroyed Shavers, Mac Foster and thoroughly outboxed Ron Lyle who had comparable size to Ruddock. Quarry by wide decision.
Ruddock would try taking Quarry s head off ,he really would. There's a slim chance he could tag him enough to hurt him, that we know of Razor. But I get a feeling that Quarry puts on a great display of counteroffensive and actually drops him on a couple occasions. As with you I see him getting a decision win.
Well theres a reason ruddock got his nickname. His punches werent just powerful, they were sharp and accurate with a lot of leverage from his powerful legs. From a stylistic pount of view, quarry would have to be favored as ruddock is pretty 1 dimensionsal, lacks defense, and neglects the right side on offense. However, as i alluded to earlier ruddock had surprising accuracy and his big pseudo uppercuts/jabs could be very sharp. And quarry was known for cutting pretty easily. Either quarry gets stopped around the 4-5th round due to too much blood loss or he breaks ruddock down and puts on a clinic to win a decison. Quarry would likely have to get off the floor at some point since he was too brave for his own good and hed be giving up at least 20-30 lbs against a huge stocky puncher. The calm, smart, counter punching quarry (of the lyle and foster fights) keeps his composure and wins but the aggressive gung ho quarry (of the frazier and shavers fights) likely loses badly.
