These are two of my favorite heavyweights in the last 25 years..

I am actually conflicted on which I feel was better and who would win head to head.. Is Rock a level above by virtue of his KO win over Lewis? Or do you like Razor's resume? They are both very different fighters in my view but would make for a very even match..

Could Rock take Ruddock's punch, could Razor take the Rock's???
I think Hasim fought with more skill even though Ruddock was the more skilled.. Ruddock more often then not just abandoned his jab and flailed with his left hook, but if he caught you it was often lights out!! What do you think classic??

Nice mathup. I think Ruddock takes it if you're talking
about prime for prime. Ruddock KO 10. Look at all
of the shots Ruddock took from Tyson. Ruddock
would take Rocks best shots and stop him late

Interesting bout. Rahman is sure going to land his jab against that defense. He'll pile up the points but just not convinced he makes it to the finish line.

To make a safe pick, I'd like to see more tools in the closet for each guy. Like Rahman countering abilities or having a nice left hook. As for Razor, fighting 3 minutes a round instead of for 20 seconds and setting up punches for a change.

I could also see the winner of the fight coming out stale and not sharp in their next fight and dropping a decision to a Vaughn Bean or something. Come to think of it, that's the outcome I like best concerning this matchup--the winner to drop a bout immediately with a guy they should beat easily.

Ruddock takes this as soon he opens up, but he'll walk into jabs and lose some rounds in the process. Lots of ugly wrestling in this one too.

Yes, Primes.. Yeah Ruddock was easy to hit and my guess is he would be the aggressor here.. Rock would bounce jabs and rights off Ruddock and may even score a flash knockdown, but as Ruddock would continue to steadily move forward I tend to feel as you do that he would eventually walk him down.. Ruddock in his prime carried his power into the later rounds as well so Rock would never really be out of the danger zone.. I see Ruddock lowering the boom on the Rock in around the 8th or 9th round..

Agreed. Rahman did have a beast right hand though.
Although Lennox did bounce off the ropes when he connected
Rahman has dynamite in his right. Anyone else feel
Ruddocks chin suffered after the Tyson fight. I mean
Lewis destroyed him with that overhand right. I believe
Lewis right handis 9/10 in terms of power.

I go with Rahman. Ruddock did never win big fight. I see Rock outboxing him and stopping him! If you say Rahman has glass chin then what did Tommy morrison have!

    Rock by late stoppage!

Though i think ruddock had the tools to beat rahman, I see rahman winning this fight by decision or late ko, rahman good jab, good right hand could mix it up and a bit more refined, rahman had the better results in big fights and proven to preform at a higher level then razor who i dont think would put it togaether in this one.

Yeah like me you feel as though Razor had so much at his disposal but often failed to use it..

That's what I was getting at in my post when I said Razor was the more skilled of the two but Rock fought with more skill..

Rock used his jab, went to the body, paced himself, he was very disciplined in the ring.. Razor very often abandoned all he knew in favor of just winging bombs... Though he was still very effective since he had fight changing power.. I actually feel if he had fought more disciplined throughout his career the sky was the limit..

I also feel trying to change him late in his career also didn't work for him.. He was what he was at the point Patterson gave training him a shot.. I think he may have fared better against Lewis had he came out bombing in round one like he did against Tyson rather then trying to jab and laying back only to get smoked with that right hand.. Lennox more then likely was going to spark him either way but if Razor could have connected who knows, his power is no JOKE!!!
