His best win was either Bonecrusher Smith or Michael Dokes, both were giants of the golden years of HW boxing, the1980's.

I don't know what the supposed significance of that Lennox Lewis/Donovan Ruddock video is supposed to be. Ruddock had already fought two back to back brutal wars with Mike Tyson, and then he loses in convincing fashion to a young Lennox Lewis? He wasn't exposed, he was defeated by the best Heavyweight since Larry Holmes. Haye wouldn't have fared any better, and neither Wladimir or Haye would have stood up in the face of the assult Tyson put on Ruddock in both of their fights.

And yet David Jaco somehow assaulted and stopped Ruddock Long before He fought tyson?... Who were all these greats Ruddock beat? Why was it that every time he stepped up he lost? He couldnt even K.O tommy Morrison but yet he's gonna K.O Wlad?.... Tyson always had problems with taller fighters everyone who defeated him was over 6'3 Besides Holy who was 6'2 and a half, Also look at the height of most of the fights who went to the cards all but one were over 6'3, Ruddock was an average fighter who lost Every time he stepped up. :deal

For what it's worth Ruddock was going through a whole host of personal problems before this fight and only trained about 2 weeks for it.

As well as having Tyson beat the **** out of him twice.

Haye knocks Ruddock down early, but Ruddock gets up and knocks him clean the **** out the very next round.

    W. Klitschko knocks Ruddock down in the middle rounds, and doesn't begin cleanly connecting regularly until late. Tenth round TKO - corner or referee stoppage.

    V. Klitschko and Ruddock fight 12 hard rounds, neither able to put each other down, and the scoring is very tight (and might depend on where they are).

Ruddock was somewhat limited skill-wise and power-crazy. He boxed better earlier in his career, but fell in love with his power. Of course he has a puncher's chance against Wlad, Ruddock's "smash" was devastating. But Wlad is definitely more technically skilled and smart so I'd make him the favorite. Vitali takes a better shot and controls the range/pace well so I'd also make him the favorite over Ruddock, a stronger favorite than I'd make Wlad.

    Ruddock stops Haye.

Rzor knocks out haye....anybody who doesnt think so is fuked in da head............razor knocks out wlad.......vitali/ruddock.....great fight

  9. Ruddock would definitely get KO'd by either Klitschko... (see the Lewis vs. Ruddock)

But against Haye, it would depend on which Ruddock showed up to the fight. (See Ruddock vs. Tyson I or II, Ruddock vs. Morrison, Ruddock vs. Weaver.)

You're suggesting two things here. One, that Ruddock was the same fighter after Tyson I and II as he had been before it. Two, the Klitschko's are equals to Lennox Lewis. I disagree on both accounts.

Vitali was scheduled to fight Ruddock, but Ruddock pulled out because of an injury. Vitali or Vlad by knockout.

  12. And you are assuming some things that I didn't even say in my post.

I didn't say Lewis is equal to either Klitschko. What I suggested was that someone with a long reach, a bad ass jab and drill right hand would usually do the same against Ruddock.

Also, you got that other part ALL wrong. If the version of Razor who showed up against Morrison fought Haye, Haye wins... If the version who fought Tyson showed up, Haye is in for a long damn night.

    You were too brief.

Your only explanation for suggesting that both Klitschko's would knockout Ruddock is by reminding everyone of what happened to Ruddock when he faced off against Lennox Lewis, a superior fighter to both Ukrainian's. I'd have to go on to say that the two Brothers are not accustomed to jumping on their opposition in the first round, especially not against fighters with the pedigree of a Donovan Ruddock, who was obviously caught cold against Lewis. He showed that he could take a shot when he faced Mike Tyson not once, but twice.

Donovan had fought once in almost three years prior to facing off against Tommy Morrison, why would we subject that version to fantasy match-ups? Likewise, Donovan had already been pasted brutally twice by Mike Tyson before fighting Lennox Lewis, so why would we subject that version to a fantasy match-up either? You take the best versions of each fighters and then come to your conclusions, I think it'd be wrong to suggest that getting your face pounded in by Mike Tyson wouldn't have long lasting effects.

The best version of Donovan Ruddock knocks out virtually any version of David Haye that has currently shown up, and this is coming from a fan of David's. Wladimir Klitschko has been stopped by much lesser fighters than Donovan Ruddock, and by lesser I mean of the Purrity variety. The best version of Wladimir has been around for a good 4-5 years now, and he's not been terribly concerned with getting his fighters out of there. With that in mind, I'd favor him to win on points.

You really didn't see Rudock land a left hook or jab to the face and body in that clip??

I mean Lewis completely dominated, but Ruddock landed punches.

Right because Vitali and and Wlad are white and Ruddock is black.

    We get it.
