Its kind of hard to say ruddock at his peak when was it when he lost to tyson twice or before then if it was its hard to gague because he wasnt fighting the best comp to gague him on. The wlad of now would dominate him and ko him in the latter rounds, Old wlad would of starched him early, Vitaly would beat him up for around 6-8 rounds before stopping him ( Haye im less sure about but i still think Haye Ko's him too fast) Not sure though because haven't seen enough of haye at heavyweight..

I think he is better then Purrity, Morrison i do not think is any better then sanders or brewster matter of fact i would pick both of them over Morrison

also Morrison fought Purrity before he even starched ruddock and was knocked down twice and scored a draw he ( morrison )would of been stopped if it was a 12 rounder.... so how much better he is then purrity is kind of debatable ( i do rate him higher then purrity personally )

Holmes himself even admitted he was past his prime and did not even have the chance to train for the fight. Using only 39 and really isn't good when you are trying to say he wasn't past it.

Suure and let me guess ruddock was an atg right :rofl you talking about being objective  And my alias is hard to pronounce and type? you hit reply its not that difficult :patsch but maybe for you it is whatever...
See you jump to insults because you really don't know what the hell you are talking about, You are living off the hype of a fighter who was schooled every time he stepped up but are living under the illusion that it would be different now :thumbsup
You trying to call someone out on being objective while trying to find a way to build up Ruddock to something he never was... And again what was that great pedigree of ruddock's and all those great fighters he beat :nut all those great people he waxed. But hey your being objective right :hi:

Is that your bird in your avatar? Did Ruddock nail her or something because you have a huge chip on your shoulder.

    :good:deal This

Finally someone who see's Tyson for what he was and not the mythical beast he has become over the years.

I love watching Tysons highlight real but he is massively overrated by a lot of people

David Jaco won, because Ruddock had an asthma attack during the fight and his corner had to pull him out. So no brutal assault going on there.

Besides that, I give Ruddock a small puncher's chance against Wlad and Haye (10%), Vitali would pummel him.

If Ruddock boxed today he would be among the bunch of mediocre fighters of the last 10 years along the lines of Rahman, Briggs, Ibragimov, Austin, Krasniqi, etc. etc.

A decent enough contender, but most definitely no monster that cleans up the division let alone walk though Vitali, Wlad and Haye one after another without breaking a sweat.

By the time of the Tyson fights, Ruddock had no jab, no defense, poor foot movement, and concentrated all his efforts on bombing those sloppy wide uppercuts without any kind of setup. Lucky for him, Tyson was a mental wreck at this point who was just walking in and loading up one lethargic bomb at a time himself, yet still good enough to drop and hurt Ruddock early in the rematch and somewhat finish him in their controversial first fight. Wlad would treat Ruddock like he did Ray Austin, another tall fighter with a good punch but no jab or defense to speak of. Young Wlad would probably abuse him like he did Derrick Jefferson, another big guy with a big punch and little else going for him.

Sadly, Haye and Ruddock are already about equal in accomplishments at this point. Both men's best wins are against declined "former" alphabet champs, though Valuev technically still had his belt. Toss up at this stage.

Vitali doesn't really have the power to stop Ruddock cold like a Lewis or possibly Wlad, so it could be an interesting war. Would still favor Vitali, who has shown good prose against one dimensional brawlers like Williams and Arreola.

The Klitschkos are just too good for him. Ruddock may have pulled the upset over an young Wladimir, but not a prime version. We still don't know enough about Haye to call it either way, he certainly has the power to do it though

I never get bored of seeing this fight :thumbsup

He was 26 back then, and years away from his prime. Meaningless.

so was Ruddock's loss to Jaco . . . get it? Besides I think Razor had health issues or something during that fight and the corner stopped it. RR from tyson 1 would have beat both of the bros and Haye. the only one who would have given him problems is the older Bro. After the Tyson fights all three would have beaten him with him having a punchers chance against Haye and the younger bros.
